Chu Miao exited the group chat and turned to look at the thermometer hanging on the living room wall. It showed a temperature of 44°. Chu Miao knew that because of the air conditioner, the temperature indoors was lower than outside.

To determine the real temperature, she took another thermometer and headed towards the window.
The windows were closed and covered with light-blocking curtains to prevent the harsh ultraviolet rays from getting into the house.
