The glowing screen hovered in place, the symbols continuing to shift softly and smoothly, but the air around it made it feel ancient.
The atmosphere still had that same quiet rhythm, like the entire room was waiting for the book to do something.
Then, without warning, the light changed.
A soft ripple moved across the screen, and a spiral began to form at its center. It started as a faint shadow—barely visible—but it grew with each second.
Slowly, dark tendrils of energy curled outward like ink in water, twisting and forming a spiral pattern that looked far deeper than the flat space it appeared on.
The spiral spun once… then again… until it opened.
