Aria
It is nighttime already, and no one is around, not a single wolf. A thin sheen of sweat appears on my forehead as I drag help Ryder with Ashwin's body to the grave he just dug.
My heart wrenches as I watch Ryder place his body in the grave, what have I become? Knots tie up in my chest, and I do not think I can hold this in.
"Ryder this is not right," I finally speak up.
He wiped his forehead, then looks up at me, "Listen, I know you are all trying to appease your conscience, but trust me when I say he deserves this."
He finally pushes the body deeper into the grave, then begins to cover it up with sand.
"All done," a corner of his lips tugs up.
"Are you okay?" He looks up at me.
I can feel myself shivering, but not with cold, I am frightened, disgusted at myself, but I can not seem to validate my feelings.
He must have noticed my shivering because he comes up to me, wiping his hands on his shirt.
"Aria," he finally calls my name, "Hey, look at me."
