Beatrix shifted her irritated gaze to the man who had slapped her friends, but she was taken aback when she glimpsed his features.
For a moment, she stood in a trance, staring at him. Earlier, she had been upset with Aurora and had paid little attention to her surroundings.
'When did this man start attending our university? Wait, is he a friend of Aurora's? But why have I never seen him before?'
"What are you doing, Beatrix? How dare you slander Aurora with your foolish words!" David's voice was filled with anger, pulling Beatrix away from Josh.
David could no longer tolerate hearing her speak badly about Aurora.
Beatrix turned to see David and was taken aback. "David, are you still here?" she asked, bewildered.
David's jaw dropped at her question. He couldn't believe this woman hadn't even noticed he was there.
"What the heck, Beatrix! Did you really not notice me, or are you just trying to make excuses?"
