Shockwaves echoed throughout the area as Kelvin continued his clash with the One-eyed Swordfiend.
"Human you're surprisingly good despite not even being on Basic Tier but this is where you fall" The monster said as it gave out a massive slash towards Kelvin.
"Woah that's was a close one" Kelvin said as he narrowly dodged the attack but not without getting an injury to his shoulder
"Guess I have no choice but to use it" Kelvin said with a helpless look
"Hmm?" The monster looked confused as Kelvin's aura slowly started to rise and his sword's aura changed from blue to red
Arrggh!! Kelvin screamed as he activated his Qi " A blade aura how is that possible only basic tier rank five cultivators can use it " The monster said shocked suddenly a memory long forgotten resurfaced it was a safety protocol implanted in ałl fiends by the Dahooms.
" Wh-who are you? " The monster said with a horrified look in its face.
The one that is going to kill you Kelvin said as he dashed at full speed towards the monster, quickly drawing out his sword he activated his only skill.
" Thousand Flowing Blades! " Kelvin yelled out as he slashed right through the middle of the monster's stomach.
" H-how is this possible " The monster said as he it slowly fell to the ground defeated For a moment there I thought it would summon it's sword servants Kelvin said relieved that he didn't have to fight more. "Now for it's life seed, Silvia get back a little bit so it doesn't disintegrate !! " Kelvin shouted at Silvia who seemed a little lost
"Ri-Right !! To think he isn't even Basic tier yet" Silvia said as she was still in awe of Kelvin's power.
"Now let's begin" Kelvin said as he sat down meditating for two hours breaking down the life seed and turning it into energy which slowly entered into his body giving him recovery from his injuries whilst strengthening his body.
In moving from Rank to Rank a hunter has to fight and kill the monster chosen either on his own or with the help of another person but it must not be more than two people helping and their ranks should not be higher than the monster by one level, after the monster is killed the hunter that wants to rank up should be the one to give the finishing blow and should be the only one in a 3 metre radius of the life seed.
After about two and a half hours Kelvin's body started shivering emiiting a golden light which grew in intensity for about ten seconds which then died down and slowly Kelvin stood up.
'Finally enlightenment took long enough" Kelvin said stretching his body feeling his new power.
"Damn this is awesome so this is Basic tier rank I feel so much better now" Kelvin excitedly said.
"Kelvin you okay?" Silvia asked as she ran to meet Kelvin
"I've never been better Sil" Kelvin said as he turned to face Silvia.
"Si-Sil !!?" Silvia said a little bit flustered and surprised at the name Kelvin called her.
"Anyway this is where we part ways goodbye Silvia" Kelvin waved as he started walking away.
"Wa-wait up I'm coming with" Silvia said
What why? Kelvin asked perplexed as to why Silvia still wanted to go with him
"Be-because someone has to keep an eye on you plus we're going in the same direction I could even lead you to a nearby city" Silvia said blushing a little bit
Oh really that's great then Kelvin said happily upon hearing the news
So... Kelvin said as he and Silvia continued walking while chatting about their past, what level they were on and surprisingly Silvia was Basic tier rank 2 at the brink of levelling up to rank 3 even
As they continued traveling and chatting for a while, they finally made it to a mysterious structure up ahead surrounded by magic beasts
"Great now I can test my power" Kelvin said excitedly ready to go and kill some monsters with his new strength.
