Immediately Willem stepped into the apartment, the light went on and I walked out with the cake in my arms. We decided not to yell surprise because it might trigger him.
Nat's advice. It seemed reasonable.
His eyebrows shot up, a smile etched on his face.
He glanced at his friends and smiled widely.
"Seriously? Was this why you guys didn't pick up my calls today?".
The red haired boy, who I assumed to be Wade wrapped his arms around Willem and ruffled his hair.
"It was very difficult to ignore you. You're quite clingy, you know?" .
Willem rolled his eyes. Then he walked up to me and caught my gaze then blew out the candle.
"It was her idea, just so you know". Nat said next to me.
Willem didn't take his gaze off mine and took the cake off my arms. I could tell he wanted to ask me questions.
They all introduced themselves to me. They were Quinn, Saida, Fae, Caleb, Barbara, India, Kyle and Tania.
We all sang the birthday song even as Willem protested. He was so awkward that I found it cute.
After eating and binge-watching Willem's favorite movies, which I'm going to question later, Fae suggested we play a game.
I almost dropped Willem's camera that he gave me. These games traumatized me.
"Is that really necessary?". Quinn scoffed. She asked Fae who was already grabbing bottles of alcohol from the cooler.
"It's always truth or dare with her" . Kyle said from the seat he was slumped in. He hadn't moved much since he arrived.
" Come on guys, it'll be fun". Fae pulled Saida to seat next to her. She nodded absentmindedly and grabbed a drink.
Barbara jumped off the couch and walked to me.
" You can always refuse to play, you know? Don't feel pressured to join . We tend to get pretty intense during these games".
She bit her lips and glanced at Fae with a disapproving look.
I shrugged. " I don't mind, actually ".
" Oh! okay". She said and moved to seat.
Wade,Tania and Caleb finally untangled themselves from each other. My guess was that they were poly.
Willem glanced at me and I nodded. He motioned for me to seat near him.
Our interaction earned a questioning glance from them but Nat smirked as he sat down.
"O-kay" Kyle drawled. "What game are we playing here?".
"Truth or dare". Fae said hurriedly. She grabbed an empty bottle and placed it in the middle of the circle.
I heard Willem draw in a breath and turned to him. He was looking stressed. I placed my hands on his knee and he turned to me.
Are you okay?
I wanted to ask. He just nodded and moved closer to me.
I would have moved away if it were anyone else but I didn't. Just because it was Willem, it was okay.
I felt more relaxed around him. Was it because we lived together?
No, I always felt safe around him before I moved in.
It hasn't even been two weeks since we met.
"I'll go first". Wade said and spun the bottle.
We watched the bottle slow down and point to India. She looked at Wade expectantly.
"Truth or dare,India". He stared at her daringly. He was goading her. India looked like she played it safe but Wade's smile was taunting.
Hell, it was taunting me too.
"Dare" she said with her head tilted at him.
His lips tipped up at the corners."I dare you to take off a piece of your clothing".
I almost gasped. He was going straight to the point. Normally when these games started, they usually start with little dares that escalate but he was not playing safe.
I glanced at Barbara who shrugged. I guess that was what she was telling me about.
India faltered a little but grabbed her top and threw it over her head.
She grabbed the bottle and spun it. It pointed to Caleb.
"Truth or dare, Caleb".
"Uh-dare".
"I dare you to kiss Saida".
Caleb wasted no time in crossing the circle and grabbing Saida's face. She seemed flushed. I thought it was going to be a chaste kiss but no, he kissed her deeply. Tongue and all.
Isn't he in a relationship with Wade and Tania?
I turned to Willem to find him staring at me. I raised a brow.
"Isn't Caleb with Tania and Wade?" I whispered to him.
"No, they're just fucking each other". He said.

The game went on for a while before the bottle pointed at me. I immediately forgot how to breathe.
"Truth or dare, Raya". Nat asked.
I couldn't choose truth.
"Dare"
He leaned back with a smile. He seemed like he was about to say something naughty.
"I dare you to make out with Willem".
Really? Nat? Make out with Willem in front of everyone?
I glanced at Willem only to find him staring at me. He doesn't seem opposed to the idea of us kissing.
"Come on, you guys clearly have something going on." Fae smiled, wiggling her brows suggestively.
Quinn had a smile on her face.
"Are you okay with it?" I whispered to him.
He leaned into me."Trust me, they can't force me if I don't want to".
Our lips were almost touching but he didn't kiss me yet. He was waiting for me to kiss him first.
I closed the gap between us, immediately our lips touched, he responded to my kiss and his hands cupped my face.
He deepened the kiss and sucked on my bottom lip before snaking his tongue into my mouth.
A sigh left my lips, I melted into him. I had never felt this way. Even with my exes.
My hands reached into his hair and tugged in it. It drew a groan from Willem and he sucked a breath and wrenched his mouth away from mine. He was kissing my throat before I knew it and I couldn't help letting out a moan. Willem stilled just then. He sighed and pulled away from me.
I stared at him. His lips were swollen and his hair was messy from my fingers. His hands came up to brush over my lips and a shiver ran through me. His eyes snapped to mine and it darkened.
Someone cleared their throat and I remembered that we weren't alone.
They all looked stunned. I realized I was now in Willem's lap and when I tried getting off, he stopped me.
I raised a brow at him.
He smirked.
"Maybe we should leave you guys to it" Nat said, a smile in his voice.
"Yeah, you guys clearly have things to do". Kyle drawled.
I shut my eyes. I can't believe we did all that in front of everyone. We might have as well had sex.
They all stood up.
"Bye, Willem. Bye, Raya" Fae smiled at me.
I waved at her and the others.
When they left, Willem looked at me.
"Should we continue?".
