"Sir, Erik has temporarily seized control of Wakanda," Skynet's voice echoed in Gene's neural network.
"It's currently funneling a large amount of vibranium resources to us."
Finally, all the groundwork had paid off.
With a steady supply of vibranium, Gene's robotic army could evolve into something far more formidable.
"Sir, the analysis of the Hulk's blood sample is complete," Red Queen reported, not to be outdone. "The compatibility rate with the G-Virus has reached 80%. The next phase of experimentation can proceed."
Ever since capturing the Hulk, Red Queen had been running detailed analyses to determine the fusion potential of the G-Virus with the Hulk's genetic material.
"Excellent," Gene said with a satisfied grin. "Once development is complete, inject three test subjects. I want to see just how powerful the G-Virus can be."
At that moment, Gene's gaze suddenly shifted, as if he was looking at something far beyond the horizon.
"It's finally beginning."
Inside his neural network, complex calculations ran at lightning speed, his processing power surging to its peak.
Meanwhile, far away in New Mexico, a massive thunderstorm churned violently in the sky. Thor stood beneath it, his two eyes crackling with electric-blue lightning as he faced a row of towering figures—the Destroyer Mechs.
Odin had reforged his divine power, restoring his strength and granting him the mighty Stormbreaker.
But even so, Thor's heart sank.
One Destroyer was already an overwhelming challenge.
Now, there were ten.
These were all the Destroyer mechs in the halls of Asgard. Though only the first one was the true original, the others were still immensely powerful.
"Loki! What the hell are you trying to do?!" Thor bellowed.
A taunting voice rang out from above.
"Isn't it obvious, dear brother? I want you dead."
Loki's laughter echoed through the storm.
The battle erupted into chaos. Thunder raged, lightning flashed, and the clash of divine power against Asgardian technology shook the ground.
But Thor was struggling.
Burn marks covered his once-pristine armor, and his long golden hair…
Had been completely incinerated.
Thor, the God of Thunder, was now bald.
And then—
A faint voice, full of disdain, reached his ears.
"Pathetic."
That voice—!
Thor's breath hitched.
It was him.
The man who had crushed his father's divine power like it was nothing.
The man who had warned him not to meddle.
Gene.
A trembling wave of energy rippled through the air. It was vast—overwhelmingly vast.
Thor's fingers tightened around Stormbreaker.
But then—
The axe shook.
And in the next second—
It broke free from his grasp.
Like a rebellious child, Stormbreaker abandoned Thor and flew straight into Gene's hands.
"Hmm… not bad," Gene mused, scanning the weapon. "Another Star Core material."
Then, without a second thought—
He tossed it into a golden portal.
Thor's eyes widened in sheer disbelief.
H-his axe—?!
Just like that?!
Gone?!
"You Asgardians and your 'divine weapons'… so disappointing," Gene muttered.
His gaze slowly shifted to the ten Destroyer Mechs.
"At least you," he said coldly, "have some decent materials."
The moment he spoke, the Destroyers locked onto him.
Their heads tilted forward—
And then—
A hellstorm of destruction erupted.
Blazing red beams shot from their visors, their power capable of reducing anything to ashes.
Even Thor, standing nearby, felt like his skin was melting.
But Gene…
Gene just walked forward.
Through the raging storm of destruction.
Unscathed.
Thor's jaw nearly hit the ground.
"W-what…?!"
Far away in Asgard, Loki—watching the battle unfold—was equally stunned.
"That's impossible!" he shouted.
The Destroyer Armor was one of the greatest weapons of the Immortal Palace.
And yet…
In front of this man, it was utterly powerless.
Gene shook his head.
"Weak. Far too weak."
A single snap of his fingers—
And blue energy exploded outward.
One of the Destroyer mechs froze in midair, as if gripped by an invisible force.
Then—
It began to compress.
Loki, still controlling the mechs from Asgard, felt something that made his blood run cold.
Fear.
Within moments, the massive war machine had been crushed into a tiny cube.
And Gene?
He simply tossed it aside like garbage.
Loki panicked.
"RETREAT! RETREAT!" he roared.
The remaining Destroyers turned to flee.
But Gene?
He smiled.
"Running away?"
A crimson gleam flickered across his V-shaped visor.
Then—
BOOM.
He vanished.
In the next instant—
He reappeared among the fleeing Destroyers.
One after another, they were caught.
One after another, they were crushed into cubes.
Loki's heart pounded in sheer terror.
This… This wasn't just strength.
It was annihilation.
And then—
Gene's gaze locked onto him.
A gaze that pierced through time and space.
That saw him.
Truly saw him.
Loki screamed.
"NO! HOW CAN THIS BE?!"
And just then—
The Rainbow Bridge activated.
Heimdall—having broken free of his imprisonment—had responded to Thor's desperate call.
Thor, along with the last surviving Destroyer, was teleported back to Asgard.
Gene watched as the prismatic light of the Bifröst swallowed them.
His lips curled into a smirk.
"The Rainbow Bridge, huh?"
His neural processors whirred.
Coordinates locked.
A golden light flickered within his visor.
"This will be my key to Asgard."
