From Yang Wuhui's words, Ye Wen learned that Bibi Dong wanted him to visit the Spirit City. A flicker of confusion passed through Ye Wen's eyes.
This wasn't part of the original plan.
However, thinking that Bibi Dong might be struggling alone in the Spirit Hall and wanted to discuss something with him, Ye Wen didn't dwell on it and decided to go.
During this time, Yang Wudi awkwardly asked Ye Wen if he could help find his younger brother.
The Spirit Hall had inexplicably abducted Yang Wushuang instead of killing him on the spot.
It was just a simple request, so Ye Wen agreed without hesitation.
After many years, the Spirit City remained as clean and white as ever.
Seeing Bibi Dong again, she was no longer the once-naive girl. Dressed in the Pope's ceremonial robes, she exuded nobility, authority, and sanctity.
But all of this vanished in an instant when Bibi Dong saw Ye Wen—her eyes softened immediately.
For two cultivators of their caliber, finding an undisturbed place to chat was effortless.
"Bibi Dong, what did you call me here for?" Ye Wen asked.
After years of familiarity, Bibi Dong replied naturally, "I want to borrow some people from you. I haven't returned for so long, and my foundation in the Spirit Hall is still too weak. The elders in the Elder Hall have been obstructing our plans."
It was a clichéd plotline, but then again, the struggle for power and profit was ingrained in human nature. Ye Wen nodded, unsurprised.
However, even Ye Wen began to feel slightly troubled. The teachers and registered disciples of Tian Xing Academy were off-limits.
Their information was already on the desks of the major factions. If Ye Wen sent them over, Tian Xing Academy's neutral stance would crumble instantly.
The Sea God Island, however, could spare some people.
Forget Titled Douluo level masters—the last battle had left the Spirit Hall devastated. The profiles of the seven Holy Pillar Douluos were already on file with the Spirit Hall.
"Any specific requirements for their strength?" Ye Wen asked.
"Above Soul Saint level, around a hundred people. The lower-ranking soul masters support me well enough—it's mainly those old forces obstructing my orders," Bibi Dong replied.
Hearing this modest requirement, Ye Wen let out a sigh of relief.
Even though Ye Wen had become the Sea God and possessed the ability to perform spiritual empowerment, doing so consumed divine power, which was crucial for his own cultivation. He couldn't afford to waste it.
If it was just a hundred Soul Saint level or higher soul masters, the Sea God Island could easily spare a batch.
However, Ye Wen then remembered that sea soul masters possessed unique soul power.
Especially the soul masters of the Sea God Island—each had passed the Sea God's trial to remain on the island, meaning traces of the Sea God's divine power lingered within them. This could easily expose their identities to Qian Daoliu.
"It seems I'll need to prepare a batch of soul-guidance devices to conceal their soul power signatures. What a hassle," Ye Wen muttered to himself.
Seeing Ye Wen complain under his breath but not show any signs of frustration over her request, Bibi Dong's eyes softened with affection.
Her delicate hand gently rested on Ye Wen's shoulder as she said coyly, "Then I'll trouble you, Lord Sea God."
Her flirtatious demeanor made Ye Wen's spine tingle. He inwardly thought, 'Why does this woman seem to grow more seductive lately?'
"Cut it out. What 'Lord Sea God'? We're friends—don't mock me like that, or I'll get mad."
Seeing Ye Wen's casual demeanor, Bibi Dong felt even better. She laughed and joked with him for a while.
To be honest, staying at Tian Xing Academy surrounded by friends was far more comfortable than sitting alone in the palace as Pope, buried under paperwork.
Later, Ye Wen brought up the matter of Yang Wushuang and asked Bibi Dong why she had captured him.
This wasn't part of the original plan.
"Oh, this? Maybe I suddenly became interested in the Soul Breaking Spear martial soul," Bibi Dong said nonchalantly, twirling a strand of hair around her finger.
Liar.
Though they weren't lovers, they had spent years together, and Ye Wen knew Bibi Dong's behavior clearly indicated guilt.
Still, Ye Wen grew curious about what Bibi Dong truly intended, so he asked, "Oh? What's so interesting about the Soul Breaking Spear? Tell me more."
"Ye Wen, you know that the top three weapon-type martial souls on the continent are the Seven Killings Sword, Clear Sky Hammer, and Soul Breaking Spear.
The Seven Killings Sword has only one heir left—Chen Xin. The Hao Tian Sect has been driven into hiding by us.
In the future, won't it be embarrassing if we don't have a noteworthy weapon-type martial soul under our command?
So I set my sights on the Breaking Clan. Besides, I heard their clan excels in alchemy—they might be able to assist you. So I kept them alive for your sake."
This reasoning sounded reasonable, but Ye Wen couldn't shake the feeling that Bibi Dong was hiding something.
But then again, adults always had their secrets. As long as it didn't affect their relationship, Ye Wen didn't mind letting Bibi Dong do as she pleased. After all, she wasn't the unlucky child targeted by the Demon God anymore—letting her have some freedom wasn't a big deal.
"Alright, I'll take the Breakthrough Clan. By the way, Yang Wushuang is with you, right? I'll take him back with me this time," Ye Wen said casually.
Naturally, Bibi Dong agreed to Ye Wen's request. They chatted happily for a while longer, shared dinner, and then Ye Wen departed with Yang Wushuang.
Watching Ye Wen's retreating figure, a faint purple glow flickered in Bibi Dong's eyes.
"Useless. This Breaking Clan dares to call itself the number one alchemist clan on the Douluo Continent? They can't even produce the drugs I want. Complete garbage, not even a fraction as capable as Ye Wen."
Her voice dripped with resentment and regret.
At that moment, an ethereal, bewitching voice echoed.
"Hehehe, do you desire it, little one? If you want it, come and accept my godhood. As long as you pass my divine trial, everything you desire will be within reach—even that young man who just became the new Sea God."
This voice had lingered near Bibi Dong for quite some time, but due to the peculiar nature of the offered godhood, she had never agreed.
Now, driven by her inner dissatisfaction, Bibi Dong finally gave in to her desires and asked, "Can it really influence even gods?"
"Of course," the bewitching voice replied smoothly.
"Gods aren't invincible. In this vast universe, there are things that can affect even gods."
