Chapter Title: The Flames of War Begin
The air was thick with tension as Mujin's eyes widened. The sudden surge of Shen Domination across the city was something even he couldn't ignore. He rose from his seat, his grip tightening around the armrest of his chair before turning toward Sakamoto.
"Do you still have the seal I gave you?" he asked, his voice sharp yet steady.
Sakamoto, who had been standing near the training area, simply nodded. "Yeah, I've got it."
Mujin exhaled. "Hold on to it." His tone was final, unquestionable.
Madagascar, who had been watching the exchange, furrowed his brows. "What's going on?"
Mujin's gaze drifted past him, toward the horizon. "The city is under attack." His voice was low, almost a whisper, but it carried enough weight to silence everyone in the room.
The realization hit hard. Tito straightened up, his usual carefree expression fading.
Mujin turned toward them with an authoritative stance. "Listen carefully. The three of you—Sakamoto, Madagascar, and Tito—you're forming a team. Stick together, no matter what. The Lannister House is responsible for protecting this city, and that is our priority. I'll be able to reach you whenever necessary, but first, your job is to defend the people."
He took a slow, deep breath before stepping away. "Soji," he called.
The loyal subordinate immediately approached. "Yes, Mujin?"
Mujin turned to him. "You stay here. Protect the house."
Without waiting for a response, Mujin vanished. The moment he muttered "Tobu," his entire being disappeared, leaving only the rush of displaced air in his wake.
Inside Bartoni's Office…
Huey stood before Bartoni, his usual playful expression replaced with something more calculating. Bartoni was gripping his desk, barely able to hold himself upright. Blood dripped down his side, his breathing labored, but his eyes still burned with resistance.
Huey sighed as he observed the state of his former mentor. "You've grown weak, old man." He raised his hand, his fingers glowing with black energy.
Black chains erupted from the floor, wrapping around Bartoni's body, binding him in place. The bindings tightened around his limbs, locking him into a crucifixion-like stance. Bartoni gritted his teeth as pain shot through him, but he refused to scream.
His vision blurred slightly. He glanced down at the deep, festering wound in his chest, the very spot where Huey's Devouring Rod had struck him earlier. "I… dodged it," he thought. "Didn't I?"
But now he understood. He hadn't escaped the attack. Huey's rod had erased part of his existence.
Huey took slow, deliberate steps toward him. "Now then…" He reached out, placing his palm against Bartoni's forehead.
A blinding surge of energy shot through Bartoni's mind. His memories—everything he knew about the final hybrid beast and Arcade's remains—were forcibly extracted. Huey's eyes flickered as he absorbed the information.
And then, he smiled.
"Good," Huey muttered. "I got what I needed."
He turned his back to Bartoni, taking a step toward the exit.
Bartoni coughed, blood spilling from his lips. "If you're going to kill me… do it already." His voice was hoarse, strained.
Huey chuckled, not even bothering to turn around. "There's no need. You're already dead." His voice was light, almost amused. "The wound I gave you isn't something that can be healed. It's not just a wound—it's the absence of existence itself,My rods erase matter and existence. Nothing can heal those injuries, how can you heal what never existed?"
And just as Huey stepped through the doorway, the air behind him distorted.
A flash. A crack of displaced energy.
BOOOOM!
Mujin had arrived.
The sheer force of his entrance caused a shockwave to explode outward, shaking the office. Huey's gaze barely flickered as he turned to face him.
Without hesitation, a reddish rod materialized in Huey's palm. With a simple flick of his wrist, he fired it directly at Mujin—a projectile so fast it seemed to bend time itself.
But before it could reach him—SNAP!
But Mujin was ready. His hand shot up, and a translucent cube formed around the rod. "Restricting Order: Roman Cube," he muttered. The cube trapped the rod, its energy contained. Then, with a flick of his wrist, Mujin sent the cube hurtling back at Huey.
BOOM!
The impact sent Huey crashing through the wall, his body propelled into the open air.
But when the dust settled, Huey stood unharmed. He simply smiled.
"Impressive," Huey mused as he dusted himself off. "You actually managed to restrict my rod. Not bad."
Mujin ignored him. Instead, he turned toward Bartoni, who was now fading fast. Without a word, Mujin placed a hand on his shoulder and vanished once again.
They reappeared inside the Lannister House within an instant.
"Soji," Mujin barked. "Do whatever you can. Don't let him die."
Without waiting for a response, he vanished again, reappearing inside Bartoni's ruined office.
Huey was still there, waiting, but Mujin movements where instanteous so it was almost like he never left the office.
Mujin's eyes narrowed as Huey stood there and within seconds he accessed the memories he had stolen from Bartoni. Everything about Mujin flashed before Huey's eyes. "Mujin," Huey said, his voice dripping with mockery. "The Lannister House leader. The man with the boy who has the hybrid host."
Mujin's expression didn't change, but his mind raced. How did Huey know?
Huey's body disappeared—or so it seemed. In reality it was pure movement , he had levitated and moved forward, appearing in front of Mujin his eyes widened in surprise at how fast Huey reached him. But Mujin was faster. **WHOOSH!** He vanished, reappearing a few meters behind Huey.
"He's fast," Mujin muttered under his breath.
But something happened While Mujin was changing positions, Mujin had attached a seal to Huey's side. The seal would allow him to strike and appear next to Huey at will. But Huey noticed it immediately, his eyes flicking to the tag as he attempted to rip it off.
Mujin didn't wait. "Tobu," he whispered, and his being vanished. He reappeared above Huey, his hand crackling with white lightning, he muttered "White Lightning: Thunder Strike!"
**CRACK!**
The lightning struck downward, but a giant cross symbol appeared above Huey that protected his being, and was ready to tank the attack. But Mujin didn't hesitate he wouldn't let that stop him while still mid air. "Tobu," he muttered again, vanishing and reappearing below Huey while the cross was still above protecting Huey's back while Huey thought the attack was coming from above, Mujin had teleported down. He fired the lightning strike he had on his palm, this time slamming Huey into the building ceiling with lightning surging over his body and shocking him.
**BOOM!**
The impact shook the structure, but Huey above was unharmed, his body already healing. Mujin's eyes narrowed. He had noticed something—Huey couldn't manifest two cross symbols at the same time.
Huey scanned the room, his eyes turning the entire room to a field where he could see the hidden , he caught five hidden seals Mujin had placed around the office which allowed him for quick and fast movements. He chuckled, his voice low and menacing. "I have better things to do than play your trickster games, Mujin."
Before Mujin could react, Huey vanished. **WHOOSH!**
Mujin screamed, "Noooo!" but it was too late. Huey was gone.
Seoul City - The First Attack
From the rooftops, Roshi muttered a single word.
"Kai."
And then—six simultaneous explosions erupted across Seoul.
KA-BOOOOOM! BOOOOOM!
The very foundation of the city shook. Buildings collapsed like sandcastles, fire erupted into the sky, and the streets turned into chaos.
Screams filled the air. People ran in every direction, their voices blending into a single chorus of despair. Fathers shielding their children. Mothers crying out for their lost loved ones.
Blood splattered across the roads as civilians were caught in the crossfire, their limbs torn apart by the sheer force of the blasts.
The Korean Hunter Association was in shambles.
And amidst the destruction—three figures dropped onto the battlefield.
Sakamoto. Tito. Madagascar.
They had arrived.
Standing opposite them, amidst the burning ruins of the city, Roshi turned to face them.
His grin widened as he recognized Sakamoto. "Oh, it's amazing to see you again," he mused, his voice carrying an eerie amusement.
He tilted his head slightly. "If only Draven were here."
The battle for Seoul had begun.
