With those thoughts in mind, Silas stood guard, overseeing the maids that flipped Arabella's room on its head in search of a clue or a trace of witchcraft that might lead back to the culprit. 

All the while Arabella remained quiet by his side, still clutching at Nerina's covered gown as her green gemstones darted from left to right following the figures that moved from one place to another through the room. 

"Oh, dear!" Ada's voice broke both the silence as well as the rhythm established by the maids.

The woman had picked pieces of the ball gown that Mr Kallum had tailored with much care for Arabella. 

The young woman's heart sank lower at the desolate sight of such a fine piece. A gift she never even believed she deserved in the first place. 

"Do not get distracted. Keep at your work," 

"Yes, Master!" they all sang almost in unison before returning to their task.
