Chapter 18 - The Started Of Academy(3)

The professor's expression darkened, his fingers twitching as if itching to cast a spell.

For a moment, the air itself grew heavier, mana crackling faintly around him.

The classroom fell silent, students barely daring to breathe.

Then, just as quickly as the tension rose, the instructor exhaled sharply, reigning himself in.

His hand relaxed, the flicker of magic vanishing.

I watched with interest.

'Oh? So even he has a limit afterall.'

With a slow, measured tone, he finally spoke.

"How amusing." His lips curled into something resembling a smile, but held none of its warmth.

"A student in Class D daring to speak like that. You must be very proud of yourself."

The girl leaned back, arms crossed, completely unfazed.

"Just stating the truth."

The professor chuckled, though the sound was sharp.

"Truth?" His eyes gleamed.

"Then let me tell you one: No matter how talented you think you are, you're still here, in Class D. The bottom of the academy. The only ones who have the right to boast are those in Class A."

He tilted his head mockingly.

"But if you truly think you're special, then by all means prove it. Climb your way out of this pit Of trash and rise to Class A."

"That is, if you can."

A few students stiffened at the challenge, but the white-haired girl only smirked.

"I wasn't planning on staying in this dump anyway."

The instructor's eyes narrowed, but he only gave a small nod, turning away.

"Good. Then at least one of you has ambitions beyond being a failure."

I tilted my head to look her state, to know a bit about this girl.

My breath hitched.

'This… this couldn't be right. Her stats were almost on par with a Class A mage, yet here she was, relegated to the bottom tier. How? Why?' My mind raced as I tried to make sense of the numbers before me.

Her Talent Grade was a staggering 9 High Star, a rarity even among the elite. Her Mana was exceptionally high for someone at her level, and the Blessing of Eternal Frost a blessing I'd only heard of in legends was something that should have placed her among the academy's top students.

Yet, her Intelligence was marked as E+, and her Current Mage Level was barely above novice.

I frowned, my confusion deepening.

There had to be more to this. No one with such potential would be left to rot in Class D.

"Cassian Orion Raven," I murmured under my breath, testing the weight of her name. It was a name that carried an air of mystery.

'I will Think about it Later.'

As the professor stepped forward, he clasped his hands behind his back, his sharp gaze scanning the room.

The air was thick with tension from the earlier exchange, but he acted as if nothing had happened.

"Listen carefully." His voice was smooth but carried an undeniable edge.

"I am Daimon Theron Ashford, your instructor and Class D's head teacher. For the duration of My miserable stay in this class, I will be responsible for your education."

The moment his name was spoken, a wave of whispers spread through the room.

"Ashford? As in the Ashford family?"

"Wait, isn't that one of the top noble houses?"

"Why would someone like him be teaching Class D?"

The murmurs grew, students exchanging glances, their expressions shifting from boredom to curiosity.

Even those who had been slouching moments ago straightened up slightly.

I, however, remained indifferent.

'Ashford, huh? Can't say I know much about them. But from everyone's reaction, they must be pretty important.'

I Try To Used My Demon eyes on him, But instead of showing a status screen.

My felt a silght Pain.

Professor Daimon let out a quiet sigh, his apathetic black eyes scanning the room.

"I see some of you still have the energy to gossip. Let me be clear I do not care if you know my name, my title, or my family. What matters is whether or not you are competent enough to learn under me."

The classroom instantly fell silent.

Satisfied, Daimon nodded.

"Good Now, I will also Be Your Magic Symbols and Circles instructor For Today, as it The First day I will not go into any lession."

Victor, leaning back in his chair, rested his chin on his hand.

Magic symbols and circles, huh? He knew this subject well from the game. It was a basic concept every mage needed to grasp.

But his thoughts soon drifted to something else.

Ashford… There was never a mention of a noble house named Ashford in the game. Not once.

Victor's fingers tapped against the desk as he pondered.

In the game's setting, most noble families were remnants of the old world before the Great Cataclysm the war that reshaped the continent.

The major noble houses had been clearly established.

So if this 'Ashford' family exists now, but not in the game's records, then…

There was only one possible answer.

They must have risen to power after the war in the game's storyline.

Victor's gaze flickered toward Daimon.

That means this guy isn't just some random noble instructor.

His family must have played a key role in the events that happened after the game's ending.

And that meant they were an unknown factor.

A smirk tugged at the corner of Victor's lips.

'Interesting.'

For now, he would stay quiet. It was best to observe first. There was no telling what kind of power or influence the Ashford family held.

"For Now Decide a class Leader , That will Be all For This class, Class Dissmiss." he said While slaming The door Shut.
