[Surely host, then let's start with the Ant King's tower that you gained access to...originally it was an artifact the Ant God gave to the first Ant king and he constructed the ant king's palace around it.]
The tower that was in the middle of the palace was not just any building like Antares had thought, it was actually an artifact and the ant king palace was constructed around. On the outside it looked like a regular tower and nothing special could be sensed from it.
[ Now the tower has multiple levels and as you grow your strength and colony you can unlock more floors, but the first three floors are practically just gigantic one rooms and they have no particular use and the fourth and fifth floors are a bit more special.]
"Explain." Antares said firmly.
[ Yes host, the fourth floor is a storage space that is only accessible to you and it's filled with prized items ranging from 1st star times to 3rd star items of the previous ant kings before you host....]
" What items are inside that floor and what do you mean by 1st star" Antares asked
[ The host should know that Artifact, potions, pills, armors, weapons, cultivation techniques and manuals, all are ranked with the 1 star being the lowest while the 10-star being the highest.]
"And what the rank of is the Ant king's tower" Antares asked
[The Ant king's tower is a 10-star artifact since it was made by a God.]
Antares was surprised by this revelation from the system. A 10-star artifact could easily be called a cheat since it gave unimaginable power.
[ And the items on the fifth floor most likely don't go beyond 3-star]
"That's all I need." He said excitedly.
Hearing this Antares was obviously excited and he wanted to find out what it contained.
He quickly served himself some of the juice in the remaining in the jug that he had gotten addicted to, he hastily drank the juice then left his room.
He got out and found himself in a large long hallway illuminated by white crystals which gave the hallway a calming atmosphere, he went down the hallway and eventually reached the inner courtyard where the tower was standing proudly.
On the benches in the courtyard, he could see Levi and Eli seating and laughing, he realized that they had not detected his presence and quietly snicked his way behind them. To hear their conversation.
"Well at least that I'm sure lord henry would be happy if could see Lord Antares as he is now, Levi" Eli usually the quiet one said with a nostalgic look on his face.
Lord henry was Antares' late father in this world, he had raised the twins to be Antares' personal guards and he had died before he could see his only son recover from the accursed mana pollution that had killed many before him.
"You're right brother. "Levi responded then there was brief moment of silence.
At the moment Antares was standing a bit behind them but at a distance so they could not tell that he was there, his antennae were active so he was able to listen to there conversation by reading the sound waves made by there voices so he didn't not miss even the slightest detail.
"But I have to, the king did not waste time, he directly went for the kill." Antares antennae twitched when he heard this, his guards knew what he was up to last night, Levi said while giving his brother the side eye, he wanted to see his reaction," the king is a man before everything." Eli responded this way because he knew his brother wanted to initiate a conversation, he was not comfortable with. "And I think Miss Zarah is perfect for lord Antares." He added" Yeah, I guess you right."
"I see you are gossiping about me, so this is what you do with your free time. "He used a firm tone and paused for a bit to let his words sink in them "my trusted guards" a cold chill ran down Levi and Eli' spine and they directly went on one knee and bowed.
To be honest Antares did not mind that they were talking about him and Zarah, he just wanted to get some distraction by doing this.
"We greet his majesty" they greeted their lord with a respectful tone.
Antares sat on the bench and looked at them like a father who caught his kids stealing a piece of cake from the fridge that that they had been explicitly told not to touch." My is this what my guards do behind my back, gossip about my love life" Antares spoke with a deep yet calm tone, he used every cell and muscle od his body has he tried his best not to laugh, his acting skills were pretty bad.
"I apologize for our rudeness my lord." Levi spoke first. "This will not happen again." Eli finished his sentence
"Hmmmmmmm, it's all good guys, I'm just messing with you hehehe."
Shocked by Antares words, the duo looked at each other but they remained bowing in front of their king.
Antares knew that it was good to be a king with authority but he didn't want to look like an oppressive tyrant in the eyes of the people he was now responsible with.
As he looked around Antares saw that there was no sign of people in the area which is weird because he knew that Zarah managed the maid and other workers in the palace.
"Where are the other workers?" Antares asked his guards.
"In the inner palace which is considered the king's private space, only his guards which is us, the head maid Miss Zarah and your butler Lord Ian, are the only ones allowed here per your late father's orders." Levi answered.
The inner palace was the center part of the palace, where Antares lived and really didn't get out of, when he was contaminated with mana pollution his father restricted access to the inner palace to minimize the spreading of the disease.
"Oh, I see, well I'll make some changes to that but first" Antares said as he wickedly smiled at his guards which made them to sweat a bit, "You two are escorting me there "He said as he pointed at the tower that was in front of them.
Levi and Eli looked at each other expecting the worst.
