After an exhausting effort, An Yin found the room where Wen Mei was.
She extended her hand, gently knocking on the door.
With each knock, her heart raced wildly.
After knocking three times, An Yin leaned in to listen but heard no sound inviting her in, she extended her hand, just about to knock again...
The door was opened from the inside.
"Didn't you see the doorbell?" Wen Mei gave An Yin a sidelong glance.
An Yin followed her gaze and noticed a hidden button by the door frame, "Sorry, I didn't notice."
She had seen Shi Qing knock before, so she mimicked...
"Come in." Wen Mei turned and walked inside.
An Yin followed cautiously, and after entering, she obediently closed the door.
Wen Mei leaned against the nearby bookshelf, glancing at her sideways, "Have you thought it through?"
"Sister Mei, I've thought it through, I want to work part-time here." An Yin mustered the courage to speak.
