Tanya sensed her brother's agitation at what the emperor was saying. A part of her feared he might lash out. She hoped he wouldn't.

Taron noted her brother barely said anything to her as they made their way back to the prince's quarters. She knew he was fuming but was trying to keep it at bay. She didn't know what to say to comfort him, so she decided to remain silent, and they just walked silently together.
