Subaru spoke in his mind. "He thinks I am pride".
[Echidna then spoke in Subaru's head. "Makes sense if you think about it; you have all our witch factors, which Includes Typhon".
Daphne then spoke in Subaru's head, as her spirit saw Lye. "This is perfect, he is weakened, the perfect time to rid the world of an Archbishop, and get our Authority back"]
Emilia spoke in shock, as no one but Subaru heard the pride part earlier. "H-he chased us".
Subaru exhaled slowly, his golden-marked arm throbbing with residual pain.
"Yeah, of course, he did," Subaru muttered. "Because my life just can't be simple, huh?"
Lye grinned wildly, his remaining arm twitching as he kept pace with the carriages. "Come on, Pride! Let's have some fun! You took my arm, so I wanna see if you can take the rest of me!"
Subaru's fingers curled into a fist. "He thinks I'm Pride... tch. Not the worst misunderstanding, but still annoying."
[Echidna hummed. "Honestly, you fit the role. The way you act, the way you defy fate... it's quite prideful in its own right."]
[Minerva scoffed. "Now is NOT the time for analysis, Echidna! Subaru, he's weakened. End this fast."]

He turned to the others. "Get to safety. I'll handle him."

Felix looked ready to argue. "Nya, you're still injured—"
"I don't care." Subaru's voice was firm. "If we let him go now, he's just going to regroup. I'm ending this."
Before anyone could stop him, he leaped from the carriage, landing on the dirt road with a rough roll. Dust kicked up around him as he stood to face Lye Batenkaitos.
Lye's grin stretched wider. "Now THAT'S more like it! Come on, Pride! Show me something fun!"
Subaru exhaled, his Witch Factors stirring within him. His golden-marked arm glowed ominously as he raised it, shadows swirling at his fingertips.

Objective: Kill Lye Batenkaitos and reclaim the Authority of Gluttony.
Bonus: Kill him without letting him land a single hit.
Bonus: Absorb his Authority instantly upon death.

Subaru smirked. "Time to get serious."
Subaru Unsheathed Witch's Edge, as he spoke. "Julius, I hope you're correct".
He then started to zone out as he pointed his dagger at Lye, took a deep breath, and activated [Witch's Edge - Curse Domin]; he then saw Lye's Soul, saw the head, then the sword covered in dark energy he swung it.
Lye stood there for a few seconds. "Huh, that's i-".
Lye's eyes went wide as he fell to the ground, Daphne's Spirit came out of Subaru's body, went to Lye, retrieved the Witch Factor of Gluttony and went inside of Subaru.
[Daphne as she spoke. "We are gonna upgrade this before we fully give this to you; you only deliver the best, darling~".]
Subaru looker at the witch's edge as he spoke. "Holy hell, Julius was right, this sword can cut the soul".
[Pandora laughed as she spoke. "As I said, this sword can cut through all Concepts".]
Subaru let out a slow breath, lowering Witch's Edge.
Lye twitched on the ground, his body completely unresponsive. His soul had been severed, and even his Authority couldn't save him now. "Heh... well, that was anticlimactic."
[Daphne giggled. "Oh, don't worry~ His suffering is still delicious. Just a moment longer, and—oh! There we go!"]
Subaru felt a rush of power surge through him as Daphne fully extracted Gluttony's Witch Factor, merging it into his being. His vision blurred for a second before stabilizing.
[Echidna hummed. "Interesting... you now possess every Witch Factor. Subaru, do you understand what this means?"]
[Pandora chuckled. "It means he's something beyond an Archbishop now."]
Subaru clenched his fist, feeling the new authority settle inside him. His stomach twisted slightly as if his body was adjusting to the influx of power.
"I'll worry about that later." He turned back to the carriages, where the others were watching in stunned silence.
Emilia was the first to speak. "S-Subaru? You… won?"
Crusch narrowed her eyes. "What… did you do?"
Felix, meanwhile, looked downright horrified. "That… that wasn't normal, nya."
Subaru sighed. "Look, we can talk about it later. For now, let's just get to safety."
Minerva's voice echoed in his head, soft but firm. "Subaru… you just stepped into something much bigger than you realize."
Subaru scoffed. "Yeah, what else is new?"
They then returned to the Roswaal Mansion, to rest and recover, their plan to go to Pristella Got Canceled, as the three different camps were in one place resting, Subaru felt the Witch's Factor of pride fuse with his soul and then remembered what he got from the white whale mission
Subaru spoke in his head. "So, um, what is White Whale Aura? What does it do?".
[Carmilla then spoke a bit of pride. "A-allow me t-to explain it, s-sense I p-programed the Skill"]
[Carmilla's voice was soft, almost hesitant. "T-The White Whale Aura... i-it's an Authority that lets y-you mimic the White Whale's existence. O-Or at least, a version of it."]
Subaru raised an eyebrow. "Mimic it how?"
[Carmilla continued. "I-It grants you partial i-invisibility, like the Whale, and a-a conceptual e-erasure effect. Those w-who see you... may forget you. J-Just like how the Whale erased people from existence."]
Subaru blinked. "Wait, wait, wait—are you telling me I can literally erase myself from people's memories?"

He clenched his fist.

Subaru then felt it; the Authority of Gluttony had fused with his body. "Ok, 3.. 2.. 1".
