Two weeks passed by normally, but today there is something going on the mind of everyone. Evelyn was excited and also nervous for her birthday tonight while Lu yichen was hell serious about everything because tonight, they were going to execute their plan.
When, Evelyn got downstairs, she was the only one at the breakfast time.
"Butler uncle, where is Alex. Haven't he came down?" She asked.
"Sir, won't be joining you today. He has some matters to attend." The butler replied politely.
"Oh" she was disappointed. Sh wanted to tell him about her birthday and celebrate with him but he was not here.
After the breakfast, aunt Zhang noticed the low mood of Evelyn, "miss, what happened. If there is anything, you can share with me, okay." She told her.
"Of course, it is nothing serious actually. But, I wanted to talk to Alex. It's my birthday and he is my my friend. So, I wanted to celebrate with him." She replied with a sweet smile.
"Oh my, why didn't you tell me earlier. I could have made a cake and prepare for this." Aunt Zhang was excited for her.
"Oh, you can make me a cake. I will cut the cake with everyone, then." Evelyn beamed at the plan.
"Of course, you can also bake with me of you want. And tell me your favorites, I will make everything tonight." Both aunt Zhang and Evelyn beamed at each other with their plan. These two women, were really simple as they only need small things to be happy, truly blessing.
All the afternoon, Evelyn learned to bake, though her baking is really bad but she enjoyed it all. She even helped others to prepare for the dinner.
At 9 o'clock, on the other side, on the bay of the abandoned island, hundreds of men in black were transporting hundreds of boxes into the truck from the ship.
"Leon, check all the routes for the suspicious party. Today's matter is no longer secret, as we haven't caught the traitor yet." Lu yichen gave the instruction from one of the van parked nearby.
"Yes boss, as of now, nothing is suspicious."
"Okay." Lu yichen knew, the people who wanted to intercept his deal will come today. He can't take a rest, as any moment he will have to take action.
Surely, 30 minutes later, there were groups of people ambushed them from two sides.
"Boss, they are coming from north and south. Be prepared." Leon informed him.
"Be ready to fight, kill all the people on opposite end." He gave orders to everyone through earpiece.
The enemy attacked them, enemies plan was to caught them off guarded but they were already prepared. The fight continued fiercely for about an hour.
Lu yichen was also fighting with some people, near the truck.
"Retreat." Lu yichen gave an order to his people and all the people retreated in the jungle on the opposite end.
The opposite party were dumbfounded with their action.
"There is something wrong, retreat." He has just given them an order when the truck near them exploded. This caused the death of many of the opposite party.
"Boss, are you okay? " Leon's voice resonated through his earpiece.
"Yes, I'm okay." He started the van and escaped. He looked at his arm that is bleeding. His calculation got wrong as one of the debris from the blast pierced into his arm.
"Did everything went smoothly on your side."Lu yichen asked the Liam.
"Yes, it went so smoothly that seemed unbelievable." Liam replied.
"Idiot, they were distracted by us, so what could happen." Leon retorted him.
Liam directly ignored Leon as he he also retreated from his place.
"All the people from shift B, investigate them." He gave another order.
"Yes, boss." Leon agreed. They have decided their men into two group. The one who could be trusted are in shift A, the ones on Liam's side and since on their side were no problem, that means they loyal. But, the people on shift B has to be investigated as their must be spy among them, that caused fight on their side.
When Lu yichen reached the mansion, Liam has already arrived and is waiting for him. Lu yichen got out, they were first going to the basement.
"Boss, you got injured." Liam reacted and went closer.
"It's, nothing. A small accident." He replied and directly walked towards the basement.
"For what reason, do I owe you this visit." Sebastian smirked at them.
"Bandage it." Lu yichen showed his arm to him. Seeing the injury, Sebastian treated his wounds carefully.
"There are many people, vacate them. There will be more in few days." Lu yichen said before walking out.
Sebastian got happy, it means that there will be new test subject for him to experiment on and he will have to get ride of the old ones.
"Boss, wait. I have something to discuss about. It's been month since the girl is living here. And we, also can't skip the possibility that she could be the informer. Let's not take the chance, please I advise you to make her leave."Liam expressed his thoughts fully.
"She is not the informer, keep her out of this matter." His voice boomed with anger, he couldn't take that his men is now doubting the innocent girl.
"Boss, if she is innocent, it is even more reason to make her leave this dangerous place. The situation is going to be serious even more than today, her living here will cause her to expose to the harm." He reasoned with his boss.
"I know" Lu yichen replied and walked towards the mansion.
It's already, past 12, when he got inside the mansion. He thought, it will be empty but he saw the girl sleeping in the dining table. He went closer, "hey, why are you sleeping here."
"Hmm, you came." She stirred from her sleep and woke up groggily.
"Why have you not gone to your room, yet." He asked her.
"I was waiting for you. Why were you so late." She questioned him.
"Did I not tell you to not wait for me." He once again raised this topic while inside he felt a different kind of feeling that made him uncomfortable.
"It's, been a month. You said you will be leaving after a month. When are you leaving." He questioned her not looking at her in the eyes.
"I will be leaving tomorrow. That's what I was waiting for you to tell." After a minute pause, Evelyn replied in a small voice and ran to her room.
Lu yichen became stunned with her answer, though he had asked that question, he was not expecting her to really leave.
"Master you finally came. That girl has been waiting for so long, she wanted to celebrate her birthday with you. Where did she go, should I bring the cake now?" Aunt Zhang came from kitchen. She also has been waiting with Evelyn to celebrate her birthday together.
"It is her birthday." He murmured and walked away.
On the another place, inside the modern looking mesmerizing palace, two celestial looking man were having a serious discussion. While the petite women who seems really small in comparison to them was sitting on the sofa, her face is so beautiful that could make a moon shy from her appearance yet that face now holds endless worries.
"It's been a month, yet we didn't find her. Are you sure, you are doing your job well, my dear Ivan." The man who seems just slightly older asked the man in front of him, furiously.
"Dad, I have done everything I could. But, there is not a single clue to find her." The man whose name pronounced Ivan replied back.
"Not being able to find a single clues shows your incompetence, my dear. Now, I will have to worry about handing the position to you. You don't seem to deserve the position of mafia, yet." The man mocked him.
Ivan, clenched his hand but did not retort his father's word. He knew his father is worried, he too is worried but he has done his best.
"Nikolai, calm down. Our daughter will be fine, we will find her. Don't underestimate her, she has gotten the skills from you, she will survive." Though the women is worried, she still comforted both men, as they are also equally worried about her daughter.
"It better be, otherwise I Nickolai Mikhailov won't let anyone off, if I find any harm cause towards my daughter." The man's danger intensified even with the thoughts alone and his voice alone calls for authority.
