Chapter 60 - 60

Chapter 60: Two Common Traits with the Machop Family—Blue and Super Strong Pokémon! (Please Follow!)

Ye Yinchuan peeked through the peephole.

Outside stood the owner of Doduo Express, the same guy who had asked him to appraise Meowth last time.

If he remembered correctly, his name was Awen.

It was clear he was here to deliver Pokémon food.

Since Ye Yinchuan had ordered a three-day supply at once, it totaled 150 pounds.

With 10 pounds per bag, that meant 15 bags in total.

He had expected Awen to bring a Pokémon from the Machop family for the heavy lifting, but to his surprise, it was a completely different Pokémon.

The moment Ye Yinchuan saw it, his eyes lit up.

He quickly opened the door, eager to take a closer look.

"Hey, big streamer! Delivery's here."

Awen greeted him warmly.

He actually had two dedicated deliverymen under him.

But he had chosen to personally deliver this batch—partly as a gesture of thanks, and partly to build a closer relationship.

"Thanks, thanks. But I barely have a thousand followers—how am I a big streamer?"

Ye Yinchuan wasn't exactly strangers with Awen anymore, so the conversation felt casual.

However, while his mouth responded to Awen, his eyes were fixated on the Pokémon.

Just couldn't help but stare.

This Pokémon shared two key traits with the Machop family—

It had blue skin and immense strength.

It looked like a massive rhinoceros beetle, covered in a tough, steel-like exoskeleton.

A single, thick horn protruded from its forehead, splitting at the tip like a butterfly bow, capable of lifting and tossing opponents like a shovel.

At the base of the horn were two small antennae, used for detecting scents and finding sweet tree sap.

Its eyes and mouth were positioned along the lower edges of its horn, seamlessly integrated into its appearance.

Its oval-shaped eyes, with yellow sclera and black pupils, combined with its W-shaped mouth, gave it a friendly and calm expression.

Its front limbs were longer than its hind legs, with incredibly muscular forearms, similar to a beetle's digging legs, capable of easily tearing through soil or snapping plants. It had two sharp spikes on its wrists and two clawed fingers.

Its hind legs, though shorter, were still sturdy and powerful, supporting its entire body weight. A sharp spike jutted out from the side of each thigh.

These sharp claws and spikes allowed it to anchor itself deeply into the ground or trees for stability, ensuring it could fully unleash its massive strength without losing balance.

Although it had wings hidden beneath its back, this Pokémon wasn't a great flyer.

Due to its heavy body and relatively weak wings, it could only manage low-altitude flight, and flying drained its energy quickly.

This was Heracross.

A Bug/Fighting-type Pokémon with no further evolution!

"Now that I think about it, this thing kinda resembles Kabutops… The armored look, the powerful name—this is definitely cool."

Ye Yinchuan secretly admired it.

His gaze toward Heracross was almost obsessive, as if he were a fangirl staring at a muscular celebrity—his mouth practically watering.

Meanwhile, behind him, Munchlax was looking at the bags of Pokémon food with the exact same expression.

Awen, seeing both Ye Yinchuan and Munchlax in this trance-like daze, couldn't help but feel a bit weirded out.

Was he too late with the delivery? Had he starved this Munchlax?

But what about the human? He looked like he was about to devour Heracross!

"Becoming a big streamer is just a matter of time for you… Ahem, anyway, let my Heracross help you move the food inside."

The express owner, seeing that both Ye Yinchuan and Munchlax were frozen in awe, offered proactively.

"Oh, oh! Thanks a lot!"

Ye Yinchuan finally snapped out of it and noticed something remarkable—

Heracross was holding a bag of 50-pound Pokémon food in each hand, with a third bag strapped behind its horn, carrying a total of 150 pounds effortlessly.

It was said that Heracross could lift up to 100 times its own body weight.

And this wasn't even its limit.

Just like that, Heracross walked into the apartment and neatly unloaded the Pokémon food.

Every move was steady, reliable, and efficient—it was impossible not to like it.

"People say the Machop family is humanity's best helper. But this Heracross isn't bad either. Plus, Heracross doesn't need to evolve—once it reaches adulthood, it's already at full power."

Ye Yinchuan couldn't help but be impressed.

"Yeah, it's great. But you gotta give it sweet tree sap every day. And never interrupt it while it's eating honey, or it'll send you flying!"

Saying this, Awen lifted his shirt, revealing a bruise on his waist.

"Last week, I was in a hurry for a delivery and rushed it while it was eating. Next thing I knew, boom, I got headbutted across the room. Got any ideas on how to deal with this?"

"Boss, you already understand it so well—why ask me? Your Heracross is great. The work will always be there, but you need to let it eat in peace."

Awen chuckled, patted Heracross, and nodded. "You're right."

As if it understood human speech, Heracross nodded as well, looking at Ye Yinchuan with a newfound friendliness.

"Actually, this Heracross is a recent addition—a new employee, so to speak. After it sent me flying, my wife wanted to get rid of it.

Mostly because I have a weak heart, and she's afraid I can't handle the stress.

But I didn't want to part with it, so I decided to observe it for a while. My wife's still worried about its temperament, though—

Could you evaluate it for me? I'll record a video for her, so she can feel reassured."

Awen's situation was unexpectedly complicated.

Beside him, Heracross looked adorably clueless.

Munchlax, meanwhile, was curiously poking Heracross's horn.

Heracross, patient and friendly, didn't mind at all.

"No problem!"

Ye Yinchuan agreed readily.

After all, he'd still need Awen's delivery service and Heracross's help for future Pokémon food orders.

A small favor like this was no big deal.

What surprised him, though, was that Awen had a heart condition at such a young age.

"You should probably cut back on smoking."

"Yeah… I've been meaning to quit."

Ye Yinchuan focused and activated his system's evaluation:

Ye Yinchuan studied the data, then looked up, pretending to "analyze" Heracross.

"Boss, your Pokémon is solid…"
