Chapter 1 - DAYS OF DIVINIA

DAYS OF DIVINIA

Void - That was the only way to describe this sheer emptiness. The flow of space and time were completely non-existent. All that existed…was the darkness that enveloped this empty universe - The embodiment of fear lingered through the whispers of obscurity. But with the dark, a light must be birthed to fight against the darkness. Energy swarmed towards the light, a vessel being born. The first deity – born with 6 bulging eyes, each beaming white, pure with radiance.

With the birth of this being, a river started to flow. The mouth of this deity slowly opened, mumbling in a forbidden language that was impossible to understand, yet was universally translatable. It could even be dubbed 'The Language of the Gods'.

With the flow of this river, dust started spreading across the void, stars forming, explosions occurring, causing even the birth of planets. A universe was born. But with all of this, the deity thought, "Why not create more?". With that simple thought, a layer above the void was created.

It called this world "Divinia", a heaven where it could rule its own people. While it had already been created, it had a desire - The first desire. TO CREATE. And with that desire, they ascended to their luminant kingdom transcendent above realms, to create their first creation.

Their body, however, had its own limitations, causing it to evolve rapidly, causing shockwaves around their kingdom, forming their intelligence. They were now able to speak, walk..and feel everything a deity could feel. With the soft lift of their hand, a gold glow shone, creating what seemed to flow…a golden wisp, small in its features, but a powerful sensation filled the air.

The creation of a soul - The fundamental of a vessel's body. They looked at their own body, looking at the glowing soul, embracing it with their fingers before inserting it into their body, their entire figure starting to radiate, hair starting to flow from their head, their new identity giving them a humanlike body with its own features - it's universal language automatically shifting to English, their multiple eyes closing, leaving the remaining 2, their hair flowing white.

"I…create…everything…" The being uttered, its eyes flashing white before colour bled through their vision, and they looked back at their throne.

"Creation…" It continued, floating over to it, causing their energy to flow throughout the universe. With this infinite amount of energy, it could not all positively affect the realms, causing negative energy to descend into a different realm.

"I am." It spoke to itself, making a powerful declaration, acknowledging itself as omnipotent. It raised its hand slowly. Countless swarms of their energy filled the universe, as they fell into a state of hibernation. Little did the deity know, they would be in this constant state of slumber.

While in their slumber, their creations had awakened, all giving themselves their own names.

Celestia - The Ruler of Light and Order, the servant who stands for justice as the leader, being the first one who awakened with her abilities. She is the guiding light for all of Divinia.

Daa'va - The Bringer of Change, the servant harnessing the power to devour and destroy, being a necessary force in Divinia's existence, showing that destruction must take place for change.

Sei - The Weaver of Life, able to weave the essence of life itself, manipulating raw energy to create new forms, having no limits to his potential, making him one of the most popular.

Once those three servants had awakened, there remained 2 vessels that had seemed to disappear, now roaming around Divinia with the countless other bodies that had decided to inhabit the area. It was now a location of peace - A haven for all that could reach it. A domain of solitude.

While on a stroll, Daa'va walked around Divinia, greeting many, receiving praise for what he was doing. But then, he saw Celestia sitting down by the fountain, deciding to sit next to her.

"Greetings, Celestia. How are you doing today?" Daa'va said, looking at her politely with a slight smile.

"Not too bad. I wasn't expecting you to be walking around. Not now, usually." Celestia sighed, looking back at him.

"Why? I felt a little different today, so I felt like doing the walk earlier." Daa'va smirked a little, trying not to laugh at his own comments.

"I just wanted some time to look at how far Divinia's come, you know? To think that we created this place." She smoothly spoke, her eyes glistening in the light, slowly shifting her hair to the side.

"I understand. Well, if you ever need anything, you know where I am." Daa'va stood up, smiling as he walked away gracefully.

In the land of Divinia, oversized clothing seemed to be the trend. All of the Celestials were equipped with a large haori that cloaked them with energy and warmth. It gave them power and kept them safe in case there were any threats.

Celestia arose from the bench, looking as Daa'va left, sighing as she walked the opposite way. The paths of Celestials that they followed - they were paths nobody else could. Being seen as different, yet being so similar, being born under the same creator, yet not sharing any traits. No matter what, they would always be the same.

"Even the brightest light can cast a shadow." Celestia sighed, signalling the end of the 2nd day.

The next day, the three of them were sent on a task to travel to the Dead Realm – a realm where the negative energy from Divinia was placed. Currently, there had to be somebody to see if it was safe - so obviously, they had to bring all 3 of the Deity's servants. It couldn't be that dangerous.

But then, they all arrived to the barren wasteland, where no sky existed. All you could feel was the lingering presence of death which loomed around the area, cursing those who dared to trod on it.

"Ooh! Look at all of the energy around here…" Sei said while the three of them levitated, trying not to touch the bottomless ground. Daa'va looked over at Celestia, who seemed pretty disgusted at the sight.

"This energy…it's so putrid. Why does it even exist..?" Celestia repulsed, levitating higher than the two of them, staring down at the both of them.

"That question is rhetorical, isn't it.." Daa'va looked up at her, then looked down at the sickening flames, THEN looked over at Sei, making sure he remembered what the task was.

"Alright, let's get to work." Sei spoke as his energy started flowing through his hands, his energy starting to flow through his fingertips, a shape for the Dead Realm starting to form, compressing it so that its dark energy wouldn't spread.

Celestia continued to hover in the air, muttering under her breath at a volume the two of them wouldn't be able to hear, "It would be easier if I destroyed this place…" She spoke with a tone of anger enveloping her voice.

"Hm? Did you say something, Celestia?" Sei looked up, staring directly at her. They both locked eyes for a second, before Daa'va quickly grabbed his head, pulling it back so he could focus on stabilizing the Dead Realm.

"Whatever you think you heard doesn't matter right now. Our job is nearly finished, so just get this done first." Daa'va whispered fast, now being the one staring at Celestia while Sei continued stabilizing the Dead Realm.

"Kay. But keep your guard up these next coming days. I have a feeling something bad is going to happen..and we won't be prepared." Sei spoke inaudibly, making sure Daa'va could read and understand his lips.

Celestia looked at the two of them, disappearing as soon as Sei was able to create a barrier, the both of them looking at each other, sighing. Something was definitely wrong, and they had to figure out what…The only trace they had was that it involved Celestia, which led to the 4th day.

Through the eyes of Celestia, we see her point of view - her character, her thoughts..her feelings.

The day after they had left the Dead Realm, her thoughts got more conflicted by the day, so she simply decided to leave once the night fell upon Divinia. She decided to hover around Divinia, hiding her presence.

"The fields of flowers…the pristine white towers…" Celestia continued to roam at a gentle pace. With each step, her energy glistened.

"Oh, Celestia!!" A voice shouted from afar, Celestia quickly stopping in her tracks, looking back. It seemed to be a citizen of Divinia..but as they got closer, she recognized who it truly was.

The Shadow of Divinia. She was seen as the flaw - her hair dark, her clothes torn and her eyes..those were what people hated the most about her. They were dark, as if they were spirals descending into the void.

"You…Why do you wish to speak to me?" Celestia spoke sharply, her eyes being a piercing gaze, stabbing like a knife into the girl.

"I just…saw you out here, and wondered if you were troubled..!" The woman spoke, her voice fluid like a flowing river, slowly moving her fingers towards Celestia's robes, entangling her fingers. Celestia closed her eyes, then reopened them…and all she could see..was flames.

Divinia in complete ruins - the flowers burnt, the buildings annihilated. This was something she had to prevent. She then looked down at the woman that was holding her, looking down upon her, her demeanor shifting. The energy she used to radiate used to bless with life, virtue and many more years to come - but now, it dulled. Like the emotions she used to have. They were lost, one by one.

"Tell me, woman, what is your name?" Celestia asked, looking down at her, now touching her shoulder. The woman looked up at her, her eyes glistening with light as she smiled.

"M-my name…Nobody's asked me for my name before..!!" She looked as tears started forming in her eyes, gracefully falling.

"My name is Numiya..!" Her voice trembled, yet she felt excitement. That was the second name that her voice was heard…for as long as she could remember. Celestia looked at her, slowly moving away from her.

"My eyes have opened…because of that woman…Divinia will fall…with its suspended ruler. But– to take the throne…somebody would…the same blood…" Celestia thought to herself, her conscious thoughts blitzing around her head.

"One would…"

"They would…"

"I would." Celestia didn't even bother to look back at Numiya, leaving the 4th day behind her.

The sky above and below Divinia had started to ripple with unnatural distortions, the air growing thick with a choked energy. The ground trembled beneath their feet as there was a CRACKLE! Under Divinia seemed to be a rift, white and jagged with it's proportions…It could've been the end of the world as we knew it.

In the midst of all of this chaos, below the realm of Divinia was a planet, known as Earth. Although they did not have a high population, they were decently advanced.

With rapid explosions, a gory battle took place..it was no war that could create those explosions. Only the clash of their swords, their unstable energies truly awakening due to the rift in the sky.

On one side stood Kageo; The wandering samurai, choosing to be led by the wind, the antithesis to his enemy and rival. He was equipped with loose robes, his dark black hair tightened into a ponytail.

On the other side stood an Emperor; Kaya Tenmei of the Royal family. He believed only members of the royal family should be allowed to lead, and they should have the most power. Those below could die - he simply didn't care for anybody else's life.

"It came to this. I told you my demands, Kaya. You aren't fit enough to lead." Kageo spoke sharply, paying close attention to his hands, before staring up, directly at his face, making him nervous.

His hand holding his sword started twitching, but he stayed confident, a sweat breaking, descending down his forehead.

"Your demands are outrageous…if you really believe that I'll help my people in any way. A leader leads, they don't need to help anybody below them. They're inferior in regards to my power." Kaya stared in anger, his blue eyes shining as he gritted his teeth, hopping a little before he staggered towards Kageo with his blade.

Kageo saw this, taking a deep breath out, positioning himself with his sword, running towards Kaya as the energy screamed around the fiery battlefield.

With the clash, the blades screeched, sliding off each other as Kageo quickly threw his sword into the air, allowing him to perform an acrobatic attack.

Kaya stared up at the blade, wondering what he was trying to do looking frantically from the left to the right, his fist holding his sword clenched as he turned around, feeling a slash from his right elbow down to his right hip. He felt the rush of blood down his back, unsteadily shifting his position, holding his blade with both hands - his left on the hilt, and the right holding the blade to defend against Kageo's onslaught. He managed to push him back with his pure strength, his bleeding injury causing him to wince in pain as he retreated slowly.

"Da-" Kaya couldn't even finish his word, suffering from the lack of oxygen he could find in his body - it was elusive.

Kageo looked at his own bloodshed blade, then looked at Kaya's injured self, looking around at all they had caused. But he only had one goal - to challenge the Emperor's ideals. So he dropped the blade.

Daa'va and Sei had both felt a surge of energy near the Throne of Creation where the Original God sat, their energy unconsciously creating. They both stared at each other in fear, acknowledging that it was the first place they had to reach.

With the surge of energy they felt, they both ran together at high speeds, springing past the citizens of Divinia, the rift causing a shift in their abilities, making them ineffective. For minutes, they travelled across half of Divinia, finally reaching the gate.

"We need to make sure we're prepared for anything that we see as soon as we open this gate." Sei declared solemnly. Daa'va looked at him. He had never seen him be so serious, but he appreciated this side of him that awakened when the situation was dangerous.

Daa'va deeply exhaled, his legs starting to shiver before he held the oversized door's handles tightly. Sei noticed this fear, and it seemed unnatural. When has he ever shown fear..? In the 100 years that they had known each other, was this the lowest they had seen each other?

But Sei grabbed onto his hands. He was determined.

"Come on, Daa'va. We have to do this together. The whole realm of Divinia is on the line, and we have the chance to SEVER WHAT HOLDS THAT LINE TOGETHER!!" He said as he pushed the doors wide open, witnessing a petrifying sight that bled into their eyes…and would haunt them forever.

"Divinia isn't safe!! Not even for you, Shadow!!" A citizen shouted, seeing a woman walking the opposite way that everybody else was evacuating from.

"That's the thing about a shadow. They always follow light." The woman looked back with a smirk.

What Daa'va and Sei saw…was a shining blade lifted in the air. But the person wielding that blade..was in front of the Throne of Creation, where the Original God sat.

Sei saw the sight..and he collapsed on the ground, his entire body shaking. But the constant mix of emotions that he felt...the rage..the sadness…the BETRAYAL.

"CELESTIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

He shouted, his emotions in a frenzy as she turned around, looking down at who she saw as a companion.

"I can hear you perfectly fine from here." Celestia spoke, her voice completely monotonous. The voice of somebody that had nothing to lose.

"Why would you even do this, CELESTIA?!" Daa'va shouted, Celestia staring at the both of them now. Her face was empty, like this wasn't even the same Celestia they had known.

"Why do we choose to serve this THING..It will only end up destroying Divinia itself. I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES!! WE COULD CHANGE THIS WORLD!! I COULD CHANGE THIS WORLD!! I CAN BECOME BEYOND THIS…THAT WE CALL 'GOD'. ONE THAT WE EFFORTLESSLY SERVE, DAY IN, DAY OUT!! BUT WHEN WILL IT CHANGE?! WHEN WILL DIVINIA CHANGE FOR THE BETTER!! THAT IS WHY I WILL BRING THE END TO THIS RULER, AND I WILL RISE AS THE NEXT!!"

Celestia shouted, raising her hand similarly to the deity, enforcing her authority over Divinia.

Sei gritted his teeth, clenched his fists as he took one breath, leaping into the sky, holding his knuckles together, the essence of his energy constructing itself into a weapon, it's blue radiance shining as it clashed with Celestia's barrier.

"YOU TRAITOR!!" Sei said, grunting while violent gusts of wind blew throughout the throne room.

Daa'va looked at Sei's actions, judging his rashness, but knowing that he was in the right, he decided to act as well.

"I could destroy her barrier…but that would leave Sei completely open for any counter attacks..he'd have to let go…" Daa'va thought as he quickly sped over to the barrier, piercing through it with his hand, making a swift upwards motion as he chopped Celestia in the stomach, pulling Sei back.

The both of them gazed; she was a threat now.

"Don't do anything reckless. Sure, we may be stronger when we combine our abilities…but remember what she's here for." Daa'va whispered to him, looking at the deity that they served.

Sei remained focused, looking directly at Celestia, realizing that what Daa'va said was right. They had to find a way to take her down…

The throne room was large, they just had to lure Celestia far away from the deity. Daa'va and Sei stared at each other, nodding, completely focusing as their energy started flowing.

"You wanted to fight…yet I don't see you fighting." Celestia looked at the both of them, vanishing within a second, leaving the both of them confused.

Daa'va quickly sensed her energy, pushing Sei out of the way, his back now on the ground, using one arm to push Celestia off of him, his energy flowing out of his body, starting to push up.

Sei had quickly recovered, looking over at the deity, realizing all that they had done to them - and that was not going to waste. He saw Daa'va quickly stand up, wrestling with her, tossing her near the exit.

That was his advantage. He quickly dashed through the shadows of each pillar, his fist sparking with his energy. With enough speed, he struck Celestia in the back, sending her flying across the throne room.

They both watched Celestia stand up again, her back snapping right into place. "Impressive. But if you want to stop me…you're too late." She looked at them, a smirk fading onto her face, intimidating the both of them. She put up her thumb, pointing it behind her.

"Kaya. It's good to know that is probably the weakest you'll ever be in your entire lifetime..To think a back injury could do that much." Kageo rolled his eyes, mocking his weakness. But Kaya looked at him, breathing heavily.

"I don't care…If I fall, I will…" Kaya said, staring at him now, his blue eyes still glistening. Kageo simply stared at him, brushing it off, deciding to walk closer to him.

"You say you don't care…yet fate is not something to be manipulated. It's the thread of life. Something that decides who we are, what choices we make, the people we become. We are no Gods. Every person has their own path, BUT YOU'VE FORCED THE PEOPLE OF YOUR VILLAGE TO SUBJECT TO YOUR TORMENT!!" Kageo shouted, looking at Kaya.

"You don't understand my family's power." Kaya laughed as his hands started radiating a dark black energy.

"What– WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!" Kageo grunted, the shadowy hands starting to constrict him, holding him down to the ground.

"That's what you never learned, Kageo. That will be your downfall. When you try to defy my fate.." Kaya started laughing hysterically, the cut on his back tiring him out..so he had his last words to say.

Fate. A word spoken by the weak. A story told by those too afraid to write their own. Kageo... defiant fool. You thought yourself apart from fate, above the invisible strings that bind all men. But you are just like the others. Every step you took led you here... to me. I am the one who stands outside the boundaries of fate. I am the one who bends it to my will. The others... they cannot see it. They cannot comprehend. They bow to fate like obedient dogs, believing in destiny as though it were a god. But I... I know better. I know that fate is a lie—a tool for those who lack the strength to seize what is theirs. I do not bow. I do not submit to some cosmic order, some ancient law written in the stars. No... I am the one who rewrites those laws. I am the author of this story, and the pages bend to my hand. Do they think they can escape? Do they think they can change what has already been set in motion? Kageo, you believed you could stand against me, against what I've built. But I have already seen your fate, and it belongs to me. You will walk through time, yes. You will defy it, perhaps even return one day. But what you don't realize is that time itself bends because I command it. You think you have been cast aside, but you are simply another part of the design I have forged. You are fate's instrument, whether you know it or not. Fate is no master of mine. It is my servant, my creation. I shape it with every decision, every battle, every life I choose to spare or to end. This throne is not just a symbol of power—it is the anchor of fate itself. And I... I am the one who decides what will be." Kaya uttered his last words, looking as Kageo's face descended into the Dead Realm.

"Bye bye now, Kageo." He said as his eyes shimmered, all of the light fading away as his body froze, dropping dead as his back bled across the rocky terrain.

***

Sei and Daa'va both looked directly at the throne..seeing blood spilling down the staircase…like the rivers that it once created. Now, they had all felt the realm of Divinia shaking in instability. Sei was

about to prepare to fight again, but the presence he felt was unnerving and unsettling. Celestia had the power of darkness, sending shockwaves that had disabled both Sei and Daa'va.

They had failed in protecting the realm of Divinia, and now they were going to suffer for those consequences.

"So I am a traitor. So what. I AM THE NEW RULER OF DIVINIA!!" She laughed as her power started radiating. She was at her full strength now, unbound by potential.

Celestia looked at Sei and Daa'va, seeing how weak they were, summoning two swords.

"You chose to fight for somebody who abandoned us." She sighed as she pinpointed the sword. Then she dropped it. His muscles naturally tried reacting, but he couldn't move. His heart was pierced; blood slithered down his mouth..and Daa'va had to watch all of it.

"You won't die the same way he did." Celestia smiled as she held him up by his throat, holding the blade across his chest, leaving a large scar before stabbing him in his abdomen, leaving him screaming in pain.

"See how heartless she is, Cloud..?" Celestia looked up quickly, looking at the two silhouettes from outside the door.

The woman holding the bag..and a boy...but something looked..familiar.

Celestia's eyes started shining as she looked at the woman, dropping Daa'va's unconscious body, running over to her. "IT'S YOU!!" Celestia smiled with her smile widening across her face.

The woman looked at the boy, then unsealing the bag. In it, was a sword, which was quickly used to stabilize Divinia temporarily. That gave the woman enough time.

"Of course, I know who you are, Celestia. I'm the flaw of Divinia after all." Numiya smirked, looking at Celestia as she quickly blitzed past her, slamming her fist into her gut.

Celestia looked..she felt…betrayed. Unluckily, the sword didn't have enough energy to stabilize Divinia, causing the throne room to crumble as they knew it.

The boy had one task - take the sword. He quickly ran, looking back at Numiya, shouting these words, "I'LL SEE YOU AGAIN, SENSEI!!" He shouted while smiling, seeing the Throne of Creation start to fall as if it remained unaffected to the deity's death.

But as the boy fell from the sky, the rift had grown even stronger, plunging the boy into the Dead Realm..where he was to sleep eternally.

Numiya was holding onto Celestia with all of her might, lifting her up and jumping into the sky. They both screamed at each other midair.

"YOU HELPED ME SEE!! EVERYTHING!! NUMIYA!! YOU TRAITOR!!"

"YOU WERE NEVER ABLE TO SEE ANYTHING, CELESTIA!! YOU BETRAYER!!"

Both of them looked at each other, anger fuelled in their faces, their hair flowing in the wind.

"YOU THOUGHT..YOU COULD TRY TO KILL THE LIGHT IN MY LIFE, AND YOU'D GET AWAY WITH IT?! I WILL FOREVER CURSE YOU, CELESTIA!! I AM YOUR OBLIVION."

"I…BELIEVED THAT YOU…THE FLAW OF DIVINIA WOULD UNDERSTAND ME THE BEST..IN THE SHORT INTERACTION THAT WE HAD!! BUT YOU LIED!! ABOUT EVERYTHING!!"

As the rift had devoured the last 2 survivors, the entirety of Divinia faded. The shattered rift had started to glow, warping reality to its own accords, interacting with time and space, causing discourse in its events.

Managing to control Celestia, it started storing all of it's corrupted energy, harnessing it within her, causing her hair to turn black, only becoming a shadow of her former self. With the birth of this being…born in the dark. They called them Noctilux.

With time suffering under the rift's desperate struggle for control, it gained consciousness. It had a way to fight against the rift. With the perfect scenario, it created a ripple that would flow forever..until it reached the right time.

However, with Cloud, he was forced to absorb the Dead Realm's energy, nullified by Daa'va's Primordial Shards - fragments of raw primal energy that he had secretly created while he was first in the Dead Realm.

Daa'va and Sei's bodies had also descended into the rift, their bodies forced to flow through space. Daa'va's energy had compressed into a meteor, while Sei had fallen into an ocean.

The rift - had won. But it had a name.
