"Alright buddy, you got this," Jake muttered, as a bead of sweat trickled down his forehead.
He bounced up and down one more time, still trying to give it a jump. A hint of nervousness surged through his veins making his hands tremble ever so slightly. "In the count of one, two, three, and—"
"Go!" a harsh familiar voice blasted behind his ears, making him flinched a bit and he felt a cold fingers dug into his back.
Jake suddenly felt a surge of adrenaline as he stumbled forward unconsciously. The ground beneath him seems to vanished at once, and his stomach lurched bad as he slipped down the cliff.
Damn! It was that witch–the hidjab girl.
She pushed him with so much force that Jake lost control of his balance. His fingers were fraily scrambled for a handhold around the walls, but it was damn too late as he wasn't fast enough.
He plummeted toward the jagged rock below. He was hell scared as his eyes fell on the trees below him. Their branches were all stretching up like shark's teeth.
Time seemed to slow as his legs flailed wildly in the air, his body was literally swinging like a pendulum.
But somehow, he managed to grab a handful of crumbling rocks that where still herged to the tunnel. Although, the rocks creaked ominously, threatening to give way at any moment, leaving him suspended in mid-air and his legs were still swinging precariously.
So, this is how I'm going to die? The second time, huh?
He pounder as he strain his eyes upward to the witch staring at him. Her eyes that was once shrouded in mystery, now blazed with an otherworldly intensity, their darkness seeming to bore into his very soul. It was as if she had orchestrated this moment all along. Maybe he shouldn't have trusted her.
'I think I have trust issues. Maybe...maybe I shouldn't be trusting anyone here. Everyone here is fucking crazy!'
'First, It was Mia, seemingly kind and genuine, yet she callously locked me up. And now, this hijab-clad girl, whom I believed to be some kind of saviour or angel of mercy, now, she was literally betraying me in the most horrific way imaginable. Damn!'
He poundered again as he stretched his palms, fingers splayed, to grab the sturdy rocks on the cave wall. But as he tried, some moldy sand poured into his mouth as he grasped the last one, his fingers closing around it just inches from her legs.
Jake spat, his tongue was an impediment of dust and grit now. He turned and his gaze landed on hers again.
She was just smiling mischievously at him. She drew her mask face open, reveling only her eyes and lips. She then rolled her tongue against her lips as if she was about to suck his blood like vampires do. She acts weird sometimes.
She squat down close to where his hands was, placing her soft hands on his as if to console him.
Which Jake doubt though. He knew she was up to something–something bad, maybe evil. The silence between them now was so oppressive that Jake felt like removing his hands. But that would be stupid. Who knows, she might change her mind and help him out.
The only sound that seems to ease the tension between them now was the wind whispering through Jake's hair, swirling the strands around his face.
"Alright big man." she finally broke the silence, her voice was quite dripping with an unsettling sweetness. Jake grumbling flicked up his gaze to hers. "I know you're scared and nervous right now. But trust me, if there was a better way out of this, I wouldn't have taken you through this route."
Really? Anyways, it's fine. But please can you do me a favour? Just little." Jake asked, looking so sheepish.
"What?"
"Please take me back to my damn cell, I swear….. I'll really appreciate it." Jake pleaded, his eyes were wide and innocent, like those of a cute kitten.
His gaze was just locked to hers, his pupils shining with a desperate longing, making his eyes seem almost... almost pitiful. You could almost cry for him if you were there watching his horrifying agony.
She chuckled–but weird though– smiling at him as she stood up to her feet. Every where was just so tense now, especially for Jake who was just in the middle between space and earth. Plus the wind wasn't doing any justice to him. He was literally freezing with the cold outside now.
"Sure, I'll take you back to the prison as soon as I'm done with you." Her voice was a low, husky purr, obviously dripping with malice.
"What?" Jake asked but his question was suspended as he saw a huge foot coming towards his head. Her foot.
"No…no….no….no….no…no...no…no….nooooooo!!!"
She stamped her foot on his forehead, sending helpless jake towards the ground. Damn! He felt weightless, like a balloon released into the air, soaring upward with an unnatural speed.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!" he yelled through the sky. Like he was damn drowning in the wind's turbulent currents, unable to catch his breath, his lungs, fuck! His grown.
Shit! He was almost naked now as his grown started flying away from his body like a batman cape.
The wind rushed past him at every freaking seconds. A deafening roar that filled and annoyed his ears all at the same time, as he tumbled through the air like a ragdoll. It was just like he won't stop falling, he kept on dangling and tumbling in the air like a bird that got shot in the wings.
He managed to spot the witch who threw him down from the hill, laughing loudly at him. She was still at the top of the hills. Her eyes were glinting with malevolence, as she watched Jake's helpless descent.
"Fuck!" Jake bellowed, his voice echoing through the air as he continued on his helpless plummet.
"She didn't freaking jump along! Fuck you, bitch!" He yelled loudly, but damn! His words were so lost in the wind, carried away from the hill where she stood like a witch. Her figure now was a distant speck. He doubt she even heard a thing.
Jake's descent finally came to an abrupt end as he found himself crashed through the treetops, branches snapping and scraping against his skin like razor-sharp claws.
He actually felt like a ragdoll, tossed about without control, his whole body was hell battered and bruised now. It get even worst as thick branch connected to the trees yank against his back, send a jolt of pain through his spine.
He landed with a splat, his face sinking into a pool of wet mud. The cool, damp earth enveloped him like a shroud. He couldn't just help it. He really didn't know why life was paying back him back with a horrible experience after all the good he had done to people. His friends should be the one experience things like this. Not him!
After some seconds, he just lay down there, still stunned that the witch really pushed him down. She was damn heartless.
"Fuck!" he groaned, his voice muffled by the mud and his whole body aching with a thousand bruises. "Shit, I can't believe I survived that."
