CHAPTER 54
Max was running from behind Aurora's direction. He pulled her arm and yanked her from Paula. He even shoved her away and instantly crouched to help his girlfriend up.
He did not just do that! Aurora's mouth gaped open from how Max discarded her away. She stood frozen on the spot, couldn't make any words from how stunned she was in what he did. She was too bewildered from how her childhood friend acted.
Max held Paula tightly in his arms and caressed her back. "Shh. Don't worry. I'm here. I'm sorry. I came too late." He cooed her from crying. He was hurting from what Aurora did. He loved this girl and she hurt her directly. His friend was getting unbearable.
Aurora could feel her heart being squeezed in what she witnessed in front of her. She couldn't breathe. She needed some air. She couldn't look at the two anymore so she slowly retreated and was about to turn away when Max spoke again.
