"Your Highness, we have arrived at the Meskevela duchy," David announced through the window.
Liana looked through the window and saw a large stone wall, with multiple rows of carriages and pedestrians waiting in front of the gate.
"Will we go through a special entrance, or do we wait in line?"
"We will go through the private entrance used by the duke's family." Saying that, the carriage took a turn and went toward a gate that was tightly guarded with many more guards than the public gate.
When the guards saw the carriage come toward them, they all shot up and quickly opened the gate while saluting to all the guards and the carriage.
"We welcome the third imperial princess!" They shouted in unison, making sure no one was slouching and everyone had the proper posture.
David nodded, pride welling inside him. "Thank you," he said as they made their way into the city.
