Chapter 88: Pain, It Hurts So Much!

["This is the Beasts of Tiamat—Bashmu! Melt away until not even your bones remain!"

Queen Semiramis sat upon her throne, a vicious grin on her lips.

Above, a colossal serpent brimming with an overwhelming mana presence appeared. Drops of corrosive poison dripped continuously from above, dissolving everything they touched completely.

"With Command Spell, I order you—it's time for you to slay the king, Saber!!!"

Mordred's eyes, holding the radiant Clarent, suddenly filled with bloodshot veins.

"HA AAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

Mordred transformed into a streak of lightning, piercing straight through Bashmu's body, slicing it in half before landing from midair.

"Queen, got it!!!"

Clarent cleaved down onto Semiramis's shoulder and neck with such force that her throne behind her collapsed.

With a painful scream, the queen vanished from sight.]

"STOP!!!"

Mordred abruptly stood up.

"What's wrong?"

Ethan paused the screen at her request.

"With that, I've completely won, right? I got the Holy Grail, didn't I?"

"No… That was just Red's Assassin."

"What? Wasn't she a Caster?"

Mordred looked dumbfounded.

"No. I told you, if you keep skipping around like this, you're definitely going to miss a lot."

"So, in the end, did I get the Holy Grail?"

"No."

Ethan crushed Mordred's expectations without hesitation.

"Tch, so I didn't get the Holy Grail after all."

Mordred seemed a little frustrated, resting her chin on her hand with discontent.

"That necromancer was pretty honorable, I'll give him that, but he still couldn't bring out my full power. That's why he lost."

"Ehmm… maybe…"

Even though Mordred seemed to have reached her limit in Fate/Apocrypha, she certainly didn't see it that way herself.

"If I didn't get the Holy Grail, then I don't want to watch anymore."

Ethan glanced around and asked,

"What about the rest of you? Do you want to keep watching?"

"Hmph, why would I bother watching that peasant girl keep meddling in the Holy Grail War? She's supposed to be a Ruler, but she constantly breaks the rules—what a disgrace!"

Jeanne Alter scoffed with disdain.

"Sounds like you're not interested in watching either, then."

Ethan turned his gaze toward the others.

"Honestly, I'm not that interested in the Holy Grail…"

Martha waved her hand dismissively.

"I don't have any wish I'd want the Holy Grail to grant anyway."

"I'm the same as Martha-sama. I'd rather use my own strength to achieve my goals. After all, for someone like me, whose existence is uncertain, only what I can grasp with my own hands is truly reliable."

Johanna shared her thoughts.

"I've told you so many times, just call me Martha. We're teammates now."

"No way! Martha-sama is my role model!"

As she said this, Johanna suddenly radiated a brilliant light!

"Ugh…"

Ethan shielded his eyes, finally understanding why people had complained about Johanna.

"So, no one wants to keep watching, right?"

After receiving nods from everyone, Ethan turned off the projector and clapped his hands.

"Then, I hereby declare—the first-ever 'Heroic Spirits React to the Holy Grail War' livestream has concluded successfully!!! Clap clap clap!"

"Congratulations, Senpai! Clap clap clap!!!"

Except for Mash, kouhai-chan, who was always obedient and cooperated by clapping with Ethan, everyone else had no reaction.

In contrast to the indifferent atmosphere in the room, the comments in the livestream were extremely lively.

They were continuously spamming Evangelion memes.

[It's finished! Omedetou!!!]

[Congratulations! Omedetou!!!]

[Everyone, Omedetou!]

[Host and his harem! Omedetou!!!]

[Even though I don't understand why, but everyone, Omedetou!!!]

[See you all tomorrow, I'm going to take a bath and sleep now.]

[Umu, see you all tomorrow, I have a date with Jade beauty, tonight I will definitely lose my virginity.]

"Wait a minute! I haven't ended the livestream yet!!!"

Ethan shouted at the screen.

[Oh, so the host hasn't planned to end it yet.]

[I was about to go watch another livestream, turns out the host is still live.]

[Breaking news: the host doesn't intend to end the stream today.]

[Understood, the host is challenging himself to livestream for an entire week.]

[Got it, the host is about to open a 24/7 channel.]

...

Seeing the comments becoming more and more off-track, Ethan cleared his throat.

"Ahem... Anyway, in the end, I still want to do a final review. Everyone, please give a score and explain your reason, the scale is 10 points."

The camera shifted to Jeanne Alter.

"Me?"

After receiving Ethan's confirming gaze, she scoffed coldly.

"Hmph, why should I bother rating this ridiculous spectacle?"

"Just consider it as part of the summary. You wouldn't want your opinion to be ignored, right?"

"Well, that's true. Since you want to hear it so badly..."

Jeanne Alter didn't even think before speaking.

"0 points, because I wasn't in it."

"..."

Seeing Jeanne Alter's arrogant face as she stated such an unreasonable reason, the comment section exploded.

[Exactly! Without Jeanne-sama, how can there be any points?]

[I love this reason so much!!!]

[That's right! Onee-sama is beautiful, Onee-sama has the right to be arrogant!]

[If Jeanne-sama had been in Fate/Apocrypha, Sieg would've definitely turned into a masochist. Dragon Witch-sama would have dominated completely.]

[It should've been me, not you, Sieg!]

[It should've been me, not you, Sieg!]

[It should've been me, not you, Sieg!] x69

"Please stop spamming, I can't keep up with reading."

Ethan shifted the camera to Mordred.

"If it's a 10-point scale, I'd give it an 8."

Mordred scratched her head and spoke seriously.

"——————?!"

Her words left the entire livestream stunned.

"... Reason?"

Honestly, Ethan couldn't predict this outcome.

"Because I didn't get the Holy Grail, minus 1 point. Because there were parts of my past I didn't want to see, minus 1 point. Because there were scenes with Father appearing, I give it 8 points!"

"Just because of King Arthur?!"

And it was only in flashbacks too.

"Of course! Father's scenes are incredibly precious! If there had been a little more, I might have even given it a 9."

Mordred spoke with a completely serious expression.

As soon as she finished speaking, the livestream exploded into tears.

[The number one filial son of Britannia, she really… I'm crying, UWU!]

[From now on, if anyone dares to say Mo-chan is unfilial, I'll be the first to argue back!]

[Such filial piety, so touching that even the heavens weep! The skies bless Britannia!]

[I'm going to petition the British royal family to rewrite history for Mo-chan! She deserves it!!!]

[She deserves it!!!]

[She deserves it!!!] x69

Seeing that the livestream was about to literally rewrite history for Mordred, Ethan hastily shifted the camera to the duo Saint Martha and Popess Johanna.

Since they were saints, at the very least, they should give an average score, right…?

"We have discussed and decided to give 0 points."

Johanna hesitated slightly before speaking.

No one expected the church duo to give a score completely opposite to expectations!

"Reason?"

"Jeanne-sama is a Saint and holds the position of Ruler. But this recording contains some elements that are unfair to her, so we unanimously believe that this footage contains misleading information!"

"If it's a falsified record, then it cannot be shown to the world."

"Moreover, it may influence the way people perceive Jeanne-sama. This is truly unforgivable! If it were the church, they would surely destroy it!!!"

Faced with the duo's firm reasoning, the livestream comments also nodded in agreement.

[Honestly, could it be that Jeanne-chan in this is actually another Heroic Spirit in disguise?]

[That's totally possible! Looks like Jeanne, uses Jeanne's Noble Phantasm, is perceived as Jeanne, but is actually not Jeanne!]

[I have been fully enlightened!]

[Oh Lord, I have realized the truth!!]

[Anyone who believes in God is a good person, Amen!!!]

[Curse Chef: To be honest, I don't understand at all...]

"... What exactly have you all been enlightened about..."

Seeing that the livestream was about to turn into a religious sermon, Ethan quickly switched the camera to Mash.

"Eh? Me?"

Caught by Ethan's gaze, Mash looked a little nervous.

"Mash, how many points do you think this movie deserves? Just say what you truly feel."

To help her relax, Ethan spoke gently to reassure her.

"I think… it should get the maximum score."

Ethan was stunned.

"Reason?"

Mash lowered her head slightly, looking shy as she faced the camera.

"Because this is the first time in my life that I've watched a movie together with everyone. This is a very precious memory to me."

After this answer, the livestream audience completely broke down in tears.

[Hu hu hu… Mashu-chan, my baby!!!]

[Mashu-onee-sama, this hurts so much!!!]

[I'm crying!!!]

Ethan was bewildered.

Does no one find this strange? Is there really anyone in the world who has never watched a movie with someone else?

Shouldn't they at least question Mash's background???

[Mashu-chan, I understand you! Since I was born, I've never watched a movie with anyone either!]

[I only watch anime alone on pirated sites!!!]

[Stop talking, stop talking, my heart is breaking!!!]

[Since birth, I've never watched my favorite movie with anyone else either, Mashu-chan, I understand you so much!]

[We must protect Mashu-chan!!!]

[We must protect Mashu-chan!!!]

[We must protect Mashu-chan!!!] x69

...

Staring at the screen filled with "I understand you," Ethan had initially wanted to laugh, but no matter how much he tried, he couldn't.

Ah... So I'm the same, huh.

It's okay.
