Chapter 64: The Intrusion of Buu and Hell's Janemba
Unfortunately, even after two rounds of combat with Janemba, the Grim Reaper's soldier was unable to defeat him.
"Hmph, it seems your subordinates aren't very impressive," Towa sneered coldly.
"What a waste of my time. Hurry up and deal with him, then let's find the guy who absorbed my brother!"
"Tsk, are you ordering me around?" Shroom replied disdainfully, but he was already swinging his scythe.
As the scythe swept through the air, a black energy slash shot toward Janemba, instantly slicing him in half.
However, the Grim Reaper's soldier fighting Janemba was also caught in the attack. Shocked and disbelieving, he turned to Shroom, "Shroom... my lord..."
"Those who are reaped should remain silent," Shroom said coldly, his expression filled with disdain. "Pathetic! You couldn't even handle a mere small fry."
Planting his scythe into the ground, Shroom's expression suddenly shifted to one of twisted glee as he reached to scratch the back of his head.
"Hahaha! Killing my obedient subordinates always puts me in a good mood!"
Towa, standing nearby, couldn't help but twitch slightly at the corner of her mouth. No wonder this lunatic was stuck in Hell—he truly wasn't normal.
As Shroom laughed maniacally, the severed pieces of Janemba on the ground suddenly disintegrated into countless cubic particles, reforming in a different location.
Reformed, Janemba gritted his teeth in fury. Along with his reassembled body, a massive five-meter-long greatsword materialized in his hand.
"What... he's still alive? And he's even stronger now!" Shroom exclaimed in surprise.
Towa glanced at the Dark Dragon Ball embedded in Janemba's chest and explained calmly, "This is the power of the Dark Dragon Ball."
"Doesn't matter. Killing him is all that needs to be done!" Shroom raised his scythe and charged at Janemba once more.
The clash between the scythe and the greatsword sent sparks flying. Rubble scattered, and dust billowed as the two engaged in fierce combat.
Metallic clangs filled the air as their weapons collided repeatedly. Realizing their attacks were evenly matched, Janemba immediately activated his special ability: Dimensional Black Hole.
Shroom looked curiously at the Dimensional Black Hole, but comprehension quickly dawned as Janemba's fist emerged from the void, mere centimeters from his face.
The fist opened into a palm, launching an energy blast directly at Shroom.
Amid the explosion and billowing smoke, Shroom emerged unscathed, his bloodthirsty grin intact.
But his smile froze when Janemba used the Dimensional Black Hole again, landing a punch squarely on Shroom's back.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The relentless punches rained down like a storm, forcing Shroom into a defensive frenzy. Coupled with the unpredictable nature of the Dimensional Black Hole, Janemba's attacks were virtually inescapable.
Shroom's scythe began to swing faster and faster.
While their battle reached a stalemate, Lin Qi, led by Chamel, arrived at the peak of a nearby mountain.
"So, this is Hell..." Lin Qi scanned the surroundings, noting the desolation.
The earth was a dull, brownish-black hue, the sky a kaleidoscope of colors, and eerie spheres of malevolent energy floated ominously in the air.
"Has Buu not shown up yet? Did we get here too early?"
"That's Shroom!" Chamel's brows furrowed as he noticed the shockwaves of battle not far away and the combatants. "We can't let them get their hands on the Dragon Ball."
As Shroom fought below, he quickly noticed the newcomers. "They look familiar..."
"Hmph... Chamel, why are you here? More meddlesome fools!"
Towa recognized Chamel and gritted her teeth. "Hurry up and deal with Janemba, Shroom!"
Meanwhile, a silent black hole in the sky continued to expand. Even Lin Qi, despite his foreknowledge of events, failed to notice.
"Ugh... Redhead, your name is so hard to remember," Lin Qi remarked casually, glancing at Chamel beside him. "Redhead is easier to recall."
Chamel was unbothered, keeping his eyes fixed on the Dark Dragon Ball embedded in Janemba's chest. "Call me whatever you want. Just don't let them get the Dragon Ball!"
"You traitor! How dare you side with the Time Patrol? You really did betray Lord Mechikabura!" Towa shouted in fury.
"Haha, if I said it was a coincidence, would you believe me?" Chamel raised his staff, aiming it at Towa.
"In any case, taking you all down is the priority!"
"Hyah!"
As Shroom's expression turned more serious, his scythe strikes became even more ferocious. Finally, he seized an opportunity and slashed at Janemba's chest, knocking the Dark Dragon Ball loose.
Janemba's body shattered into fragments and collapsed motionless on the ground.
The Dragon Ball rolled across the ground, but no one made a move to retrieve it. Towa quickly flew to Shroom's side, glaring at Lin Qi and Chamel with hostility.
The standoff between the four was about to erupt into an all-out battle.
"You handle Towa. I don't like fighting women," Lin Qi said, glancing at Chamel before setting his sights on Shroom.
"Fine... but be careful of Shroom's abilities!" Chamel accepted the suggestion, twirling his staff as dark energy surged toward Towa.
Towa responded just as swiftly, her own dark energy colliding with Chamel's in a violent clash.
As Shroom leaped toward Lin Qi, the latter soared forward to meet him head-on. "A Grim Reaper, huh... how amusing!"
Lin Qi's movements were fast and precise, carefully avoiding the deadly swings of Shroom's soul-reaping scythe.
The intense battle rippled through the air, sending shockwaves outward.
At that moment, the black hole in the sky fully opened. A mass of flesh-like material shot out at incredible speed, too fast for anyone to react. The flesh enveloped the Dark Dragon Ball before anyone could intervene.
Everyone noticed too late.
Then, a figure leaped out of the black hole—Dark Demon God Buu had arrived!
"Damn it..." Towa glared at Buu, immediately recognizing him as the one who had absorbed her brother.
Buu's movements were swift and cunning, allowing him to claim the second Dragon Ball with ease.
"How could we have forgotten about this guy..." Cold sweat dripped from Chamel's forehead. "I should have brought Vegeta and Goku with me!"
Majin Buu smirked triumphantly, raising the Dragon Ball high. Below, Janemba's fragmented body turned into a sludge-like mass and surged toward him.
Whoosh!
Janemba was absorbed!
As Buu's body began to transform once more, everyone present was stunned.
Lin Qi reacted first, abandoning his fight with Shroom to launch himself toward Buu.
Shroom quickly followed suit.
From above, Dark Demon God Buu smirked at the two rushing toward him. With a casual wave of his hand, a massive rift appeared behind him.
