Monday Morning
A soft, warm sensation pressed against my lips.
Smooch.
My eyes fluttered open, but the world remained hazy in the dim morning light. Had I just… been kissed? My heart pounded. Was I dreaming?
But then—
Smooch.
Again!
I jolted upright, my fingers grazing my lips, tingling with the remnants of an unfamiliar warmth. The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a golden glow across my room. I glanced around, bewildered. Everything was as I had left it last night—my books stacked neatly on the desk, But there was something new. A small note lay beside me on the pillow.
My breath caught as I picked it up with trembling fingers.
"You shouldn't be letting your guard down just because you're in your room. You have to hurry up and find meeeee~"
What the hell?!
I let out a startled scream, the note crumpling slightly in my grasp. Just then, the door to my room burst open.
"Harsh! What happened?"
Vaishu stood in the doorway, still in her neatly pressed college uniform, her dark eyes sharp with concern. Her long, jet-black hair cascaded down her back, swaying as she stepped forward.
I turned to her, still dazed. "V-Vaishu… there's another letter!"
Her expression darkened, and she stormed toward me, snatching the note from my hand. After scanning its contents, her gaze flicked back to me, her eyes burning with fury.
"Huh?! Your lips were stolen yet again?! This is unacceptable!" she fumed, her grip on the paper tightening. "I'm never going to let this slide!"
"V-Vaishu, calm down!" I tried to soothe her, raising my hands in surrender. But inside, my mind was racing.
Who was behind this? A secret admirer? A mischievous trickster? Someone close to me… or someone lurking in the shadows?
Despite the confusion, a single thought lingered in my mind, sending a shiver down my spine.
What a way to start the day.
