Chapter 148 - Glimmering Lights.

The sun began to climb higher, the golden light of dawn spreading across the sky, pushing back the dim night and bringing a fresh atmosphere to their journey.

The three of them no longer sat and pondered too long over the events that had passed. They knew that ahead of them lay a long journey, and time would not allow them to linger.

The tension and fatigue from the previous battles still lingered, but they understood that they had to keep moving if they didn't want to miss something important.

The journey had been delayed by one day compared to their original plan. On the map, if they moved quickly, they could still reach Medai Village by the time nightfall began.

The mountains, vast fields, and dense forests stretched out before them like unsolved challenges.

The fresh and serene air around them made them feel relieved, but each of their eyes held some doubt about what awaited them on the road ahead.

They passed through many different landscapes, from endless grasslands where the gentle wind brushed past each blade of green, to vast lakes with crystal-clear waters reflecting the sky.

The fresh air of nature around them made the journey even more vibrant, but it wasn't without its challenges.

Along the way, they encountered packs of wild wolves, large, muscular boars, and other dangerous beasts.

These monsters often appeared unexpectedly, forcing them to act quickly, showcasing the battle skills they had honed through numerous fights.

All three fought with confidence, though occasionally facing small challenges, but with each victory over a monster, they felt themselves improving.

Though there was some tension in each fight, the atmosphere between them grew more relaxed, with jokes and encouraging glances replacing silence and worry.

A familiar feeling grew among the companions, as though they had fought through many hardships together, and with each step, their bond grew stronger.

Finally, as the sky began to darken and the last rays of sunlight faded behind distant mountain peaks, they saw the faint lights of Medai Village in the distance.

The lights sparkled like little stars in the darkness, signaling that they were nearing their destination after a long day of travel.

The air grew warmer as they got closer, a sense of safety and relaxation spreading with each step.

Though tired from the journey, none of them seemed in a rush. They knew that just a little further and they would reach a place where they could rest, find new resources, and prepare for the challenges ahead.

Ren gazed at the twinkling lights, feeling a sense of relief, but also a hint of suspicion.

Medai Village, a place full of new opportunities, strong players, and possibly a place that would change many things in his journey.

Could this be a safe haven, or an important turning point he hadn't anticipated?

But still, they continued forward, moving toward the warm golden light of the distant lamps, preparing for tomorrow, a new chapter on this challenging path.

They walked along the worn dirt road, their footsteps softly echoing in the quiet evening air.

The dim lights from the village gate became clearer, and the voices of the villagers began to filter out, dispelling the surrounding silence.

The village gate was low, made of sturdy wood, with shrubbery covering the top, forming a protective circle.

As they passed through the gate, the air inside the village became richer and warmer, a stark contrast to the cold of the grasslands they had just crossed.

The small houses, built from stone and wood, lined the narrow streets. The lights from hanging lanterns on the electric poles made the scenery cozy and familiar.

Ren, Yuna, and Nautilus exchanged glances, a new feeling rising as they stepped into Medai Village, where they would begin a new chapter in their journey.

The villagers looked at them with curious eyes, some nodding in greeting, while others simply passed by without paying much attention.

The three of them did not hurry, casually walking toward the center of the village, where they could find a place to rest and prepare for the upcoming tasks.

They knew that, though they had just entered a new land, the challenges still awaited them ahead.

Medai Village was famous for its mines and high-quality blacksmith shops, offering the best equipment for players who wanted to upgrade their weapons and armor.

Surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and dense forests, Medai was a bustling trading center, where experienced players gathered to prepare for the tough battles beneath the earth.

As they entered the village center, the atmosphere felt very different from that of the Starting Town.

The sounds of hammers striking anvils echoed from the blacksmith shops, where blacksmiths were tirelessly forging sharp, powerful weapons.

In addition, other players were present, some engaging in trade, others seeking information, and quite a few watching Ren, Yuna, and Nautilus with curious eyes.

The village is divided into several areas, each with its own distinct characteristics. The market area is the busiest, with stalls selling various items, resources, and even dungeon maps.

The blacksmithing area is where skilled blacksmiths forge swords, armor, and other gear, while the mining area lies just outside the village, where dangerous monsters and valuable resources await those brave enough to face them.

"We might be able to find some powerful weapons here," Ren said, looking around.

"Definitely," Yuna replied. "But first, we need to find a place to rest. I'm quite tired."

Nautilus nodded in agreement. "We also need to prepare for the next missions. Don't forget, there are bosses waiting for us in the mines."

Ren nodded, his gaze stopping at a nearby blacksmith shop. The sharp swords and durable armor on display were impressive.

He wondered if he could find something that suited him here.

The three of them made their way to the village center, where a small, cozy inn awaited them. The sounds of laughter and conversation came from inside, along with the aroma of food and drinks.

It was an ideal place to stop after a long day of traveling.

Though Medai wasn't a particularly large village, it had no shortage of inns and taverns, where anyone tired from their journey would be warmly welcomed.

They chose a small inn near the village center, where the warm light from yellow lanterns cast through the windows, creating a mystical and peaceful scene in the night.

The door to the inn opened, and immediately, soft music echoed from within, filling the space with a cozy atmosphere that seemed to embrace everyone.

As they stepped inside, they felt the lively yet comfortable vibe, not too noisy.

The lanterns hanging from the ceiling illuminated old but sturdy wooden tables, casting warm light on simple chairs.

The tempting smell of simple yet delicious dishes made their stomachs growl, awakening their hunger after a long journey.

A few other players sat around the tables, chatting happily, occasionally offering friendly smiles when their eyes met Ren, Yuna, and Nautilus.

"Welcome, honored guests," a girl with golden hair and a bright smile called from behind the bar, her voice sweet and inviting.

"Please feel free to choose a seat, I'll bring out the food right away. After a long night like this, a good meal will help replenish your strength."

The three of them looked up, sensing the warm welcome from the innkeeper. They moved inside and chose a table near the window, where they could see the village below, lit by the twinkling lights of the surrounding houses and shops.

Yuna, Nautilus, and Ren sat down, relaxing after a long, tough day on the road.

Ren glanced around the cozy space of the inn, his fingers lightly tapping on the table as his eyes took in part of this complete picture.

"This seems like the perfect place to rest. We need to gather strength for the challenges ahead."

Yuna nodded, her gaze dreamy as she looked out the window, as if searching for something in the darkness. "I agree. But there's one thing I feel very clearly... We're going to face stronger challenges."

Nautilus quickly glanced at the menu on the table, then turned to Ren, his eyes thoughtful. "This place is very comfortable. But don't forget, there's still a lot to worry about. The atmosphere here feels a bit tense, I have a feeling something is waiting for us."

Ren smiled lightly, his gaze still outside, seemingly unaffected by those thoughts. "That's true. But for now, we should enjoy moments like this. As for the challenges ahead, let the future handle them."

The innkeeper quickly brought out a simple yet satisfying meal: fragrant grilled meat, freshly baked bread, and fresh slices of vegetables.

The delicious taste of the meal made the three of them unable to resist their hunger, and they began eating right away, soothing their appetites.

In the cozy atmosphere and with the delicious food, the three of them seemed to forget all the tension from before, leaving their worries for tomorrow.

And perhaps, a good night's sleep tonight would prepare them well for the difficult challenges they knew awaited them ahead.
