The female figure covered in a cloak was no other but Christabel, after serving Nicholina the juice she had made her way towards the kitchen and making sure no one saw her.
she stealthily walked through the back door of the kitchen making her way towards the woods.
The male figure stood with his back facing the approaching figure he was dressed in black to the brim,to spot him one must have a sharp eye as his clothes made him blend with the darkness.
" For a while I almost thought you wouldn't be coming, but here you are, always late"his voice laced with suppressed anger rung through the cold darkness.
"You are my daughter but instead of my character you took only my looks, how do you expect to be a princess with this character of yours?" Oscar asked finally turning to face his daughter.
He sounded angry but he didn't look angry in fact his lips wore a smile, a character Christabel was too familiar with, anyone who wasn't familiar with him wouldn't take him seriously but she knew better.
After all that was her father she had lived twenty two years of her life with him.
She didn't dare to speak as Oscar continued " You have seen your cousin, haven't you seen how she acts? Like a princess she is,and am with no doubt she's always on time" Oscar said his voice mocking and sharp.
Christabel feeling her blood boil for being compared to Nicholina for the millionth time in her life couldn't do anything but clench her teeth and fists, lowering her head in shame.
A cousin of hers that knew nothing about her existence yet she was always being compared to her. She felt bitterness rise within her.
Nicholina did not only take her rightful place as a princess but she seemed to be better than her in everything.
If only King Richard hadn't been wicked and envious of his twin brother and hadn't pushed him into the water to drown.
Her life wouldn't have turned out like this, she would have been princess, she would have been worshipped but here she was nothing at all.
'She couldn't wait to see all of them kneel to her and ask me for mercy '
Somewhere in the Queen's chambers a petite figure in a king sized bed slept peacefully like a newborn baby oblivious to the outside world.
A faint smile was plastered on her beautiful angelic face as she drifted into her neverending world of a beautiful dream.
In her dream,Nicholina found herself sitting on a very familiar bench in a familiar but not too familiar garden.
The wind blew hitting her face with a gentle breeze that made some strands of her silky black hair fall stubbornly onto her face.
She wasn't bothered at the strands of hairs that stubbornly blinded her sight,a smile formed her lips.
She felt happy, at peace and unbothered by the outside world after all it was a dream. She stared at the night blooming jasmine that danced swiftly as the wind blew softly. She was in a white silky gown that flowed all the way down her feet.
The moon was bright and glowed in all its glory. It was as if the moon itself felt her mood and did its best to brighten the mood even more.
From the corner of her eye,Nicholina saw an approaching male figure and her smile widened as if she was expecting him.
She turned her full attention towards the approaching figure.
She watched as Rheaphel walked gracefully towards her completely shirtless, the moon did a good job by displaying his well built muscles and chiseled chest. His fine sunkissed skin glowed under the moon.
Nicholina felt her body react in ways that excited and frightened her,she felt a warm sensation finding it's way towards her cheeks, she was as red as a tomato. She was blushing very hard.
She watched as he crossed the distance between them and sat right next to her on the bench.
She was happy yes! But right now she felt an overwhelming feeling of completeness and fulfillment.
She watched as Rhealphel took the stubborn strand of hair of her face and watch her with a soft tenderness but under that tenderness lied a deep wound, it was surprising to her how she was able to see it,how she felt it but she did.
Her eyes sadden a bit and she felt the need to heal whatever wound was that, before she realized what she was doing she was already in Rheaphel's arms. She placed her head on his chiseled chest and trust me when I say she loved it.
Rheaphel in turn wrapped his hands possessively around her waist pulling her even more closer. Even without communication with each other through words they understood each other very well.
Nicholina stirred awake blinking several times to make sure she was fully conscious of her surroundings. She turned her head around looking at the walls in her chambers in confusion.
'Wasn't she in the garden moments ago?'
Blinking several times again and still seeing the walls of her chambers she became aware she was dreaming. She gave out a long dramatic sigh as disappointment washed over her it after all a dream.
And about the dream,Nicholina felt her cheeks heat up again, did she just dream about king Rheaphel and to think about the fact that he was shirtless in this her dream made her cheeks red like tomatoes.
The emotions she felt in the dream faintly lingered, the completeness, fulfillment and the need to heal his invisible wounds were still there.
The tenderness in his eyes, there was no teasing smile or emotionless face just tenderness and hurt.
Feeling all these emotions from a dream made it too real,it was a sweet dream yet she felt obliged to do something she didn't know how to even start.
"Don't be ridiculous Nila, its just a dream that have nothing to do with the physical world, that man was hard as rock how can he be hurt" Nicholina muttered to herself convincing.
But as convincing as she tried to convince herself she wasn't the slightness bit convinced. There was a sadden heaviness that settled in her heart. Those sliver shade blue eyes looked hurt, broken and vulnerable.
Why did she feel this way. Even though they were married for almost two weeks now,she didn't know most things a wife was supposed to know about her husband.
She went around her business and he did his too. She wasn't for once sermoned into his chambers to fulfill her marital duties. Even though he had touched her intimately before that was all.
So why was she feeling this way?
