Rebirth and Realization
Aether Zephyrion's consciousness shifted like a waking dream. The sudden clarity of his mind was overwhelming as the first breath of air filled his lungs, signifying his rebirth. He was no longer in the cold, dark void where he had once stood, but now, his eyes opened to the warmth of a luxurious room. His senses were heightened, his awareness of the world clearer than any newborn's should be.
The baby, Aether, could feel the powerful magic coursing through his body even before he could fully comprehend it. He was born into the Zephyrion family, a family of immense influence within the Elista Kingdom, known for its mastery of both magic and swordsmanship. The wealth, the legacy, the expectations—all were now his. But, more importantly, Aether knew his future. He knew that, despite the seemingly normal world around him, he was not destined to be just another noble child.
The Guide's voice echoed in his mind as the knowledge flowed into him, settling into the depths of his consciousness like a seed planted in fertile soil.
The Knowledge of the Future—he could see it all: the world's progression, the fated hero's rise, the key moments, and his own role as the antagonist. This was the foundation of his journey: to survive, to manipulate, to bend reality itself to his will.
Aether knew about the magic system of this world. Every person had the potential for magic, some wielding basic elements like fire, water, or earth, while others could tap into legendary powers, rare and sought-after abilities that could change the course of history. Gods themselves were said to have powers that were beyond mortal comprehension.
As Aether continued to observe his surroundings, he began to sense the presence of his parents—his father, Duke Zephyrion, a man of stoic composure and cold demeanor, and his mother, a stunning beauty whose long blue hair shimmered like the sky after rain. His mother, despite the exhaustion of childbirth, smiled at him with a warmth that contrasted sharply with his father's distant gaze.
But it wasn't just the physical world Aether had come to know. The future of the world, the fated events, the relationships that would shape the course of history—all were laid bare before him. Among the knowledge granted to him, he also understood that his mana pool, though currently small, would grow at an exponential rate.
