"But…" Carol paused, then looked away. "Sorry, I can't talk about them."
Kael's expression changed in an instant. His eyes turned dark like black hole.It was so hollow and deep they looked like an abyss. Carol felt a chill run through her and raised her hands.
"Wait! It's not that I don't want to tell you," she said quickly, "I just can't, not now…"
"Why?" Kael asked, his voice low and sharp.
"Because I took an oath," Carol replied.
Kael frowned. "You said you came here after getting injured, right?"
Carol nodded slowly.
"Then how do you even know about them?"
Carol looked down. "I didn't die right away. I stayed alive for a while. Many came to see me. Some of them were your girls too."
Kael's expression froze for a moment. His mind clicked. His face twisted as a sudden thought hit him like thunder.
