"Well, thinking about it again, a war between our packs wouldn't be nice. How about we avoid whatever would cause war... Like this crystal whatever?" Alpha Killian didn't let her speak and immediately added. "Let's do this instead…" he watched Reana intently, fearing she might attack him for suddenly changing his mind, even though it was unlikely.
Reana's expression remained neutral, but her eyes grew colder. "Go on," she said, her voice measured.
Alpha Killian took a deep breath, "I was thinking we both go there and see what the crystal… What did you call it?"
"Crystal mine," his beta whispered.
"Yes, let's see what that thing looks like. If it's an important asset to my pack, like the west bank is to your pack, then, it will not be mine to give." He smiled, finally having power over this conversation.
