"How are you feeling, Cassandra?" Dr. Gabriele asked. She remained silent, merely blinking.
"What is your medical history? Any allergies or current medications?" he continued. Cassandra turned her body away from him, clearly unwilling to answer. He then turned to me.
"Do you know anything about what might have caused her condition? It's important to know before I start any treatment. I need to know if she's on medication," he asked firmly, his hands shoved into his pockets and his eyes sharp.
"I found her like this. She was likely tortured or worse for days. I need you to do everything possible for her. Meds or not, just do what you need to!" I replied. He glanced from her bedside to me, then nodded.
"I'll need to perform a physical examination. We'll see how it goes from there. But from what I can tell, she'll need a therapist. Arrange for one, Nikolai. She's a tough case," he said.
