When Raizel returned to the real world, it was already night.
He stood in the garden and changed into more comfortable clothes.
With that done, Raizel walked up to the main door of their new residence, which opened with a soft click—as if it recognized him.
The first thing he saw inside was his family sitting at the dining table, just about to start eating.
Their eyes lit up as soon as they spotted Raizel entering through the door.
"Rai, welcome back! Do you want to have dinner right now, or take a shower first?"
Raizel smiled as he pulled out a chair. "I'd love to have dinner with you all. The shower can wait."
Robert and Marianne looked pleased at this, while Ruby leaned in slightly, sniffing the air, already sensing a familiar foul scent coming from her brother beside her.
But this time, the scent was thick and metallic.
Ruby's brows furrowed in confusion. She couldn't quite recognize it as the dried blood of humans.
