87' Minute –
The corner came from nothing—a flicked pass deflected off Holloway's shin, spinning out just past the flag. The Brugge players didn't waste time protesting. They sprinted into shape.
Vanaken raised his arm, the signal coming before the crowd even resettled. He sent it in with that same touch that had undone Bradford earlier—not power, just placement.
It curled hard toward the penalty spot, arcing late, dipping suddenly.
Mechele rose above Barnes and Kang, glancing a header that screamed toward the top corner.
Emeka moved like a machine.
One explosive step left. Dive. Right hand punching upward.
Contact.
Not a parry. A deflection. Enough to kill the speed and change the flight.
The ball smacked the turf just inside the six-yard box, spun backward, then veered wide—out.
Commentator (Ian Darke, BT Sport):
"Emeka again! Big hand at full stretch—keeps Bradford alive in the dying minutes!"
The crowd surged with a breathless kind of gratitude.
