"What!!? Still no trace of that man!!?"
Junna slammed her hand against the table, her eyes blazing with frustration.
The shadow agents in front of her stiffened instantly.
"How stupid can you all be!!?" she snapped.
"B-But Miss Junna," one of the operatives stammered, "we already blended into Hazlin Town. We've searched thoroughly and asked around discreetly with the halfling locals. The human was there… but not for long."
Junna's teeth clenched, her voice low and furious. "Don't tell me… he slipped away again!?"
Another agent nodded. "According to the locals, he just stopped by. Ate something, withdrew a bit of money from the guild, and left right after."
Junna's eyes narrowed. "So… he's avoiding detection?"
"It's possible," the agent replied carefully. "He might have sensed someone was searching for him."
"Tch! That black-haired idiot… he's more slippery than I thought."
