Silver blinked weakly as she heard Lorenzo calling her. He was murmuring something in Italian—"mia dolcezza." The words were foreign to her ears, but the warmth in his tone made her heart flutter. Slowly, she opened her eyes and realized she was still nestled against him, her body completely relaxed in his arms.
Using all the strength she could muster, she attempted to stand up but felt a wave of dizziness crash over her. She wobbled and fell right back into Lorenzo's chest. He caught her effortlessly, chuckling as he held her steady.
"Calm down, dolcezza. We'll have lunch first, and then we'll go for a walk."
Silver nodded groggily and followed him to the dining room, where the table was filled with all her favorite dishes. She smiled at the sight, digging into her food eagerly. An hour later, with full bellies and satisfied sighs, Silver leaned back in her chair, lazily tracing patterns on the table.
