The world is a beautiful place Sydney said with stars in her eyes and a dreamy smile plastered on her face, Elle looked at her and laughed "I know Syd, hopefully I'll get to explore more". Sydney was still smiling dreamily until Elle snapped her fingers "what are you thinking about that you can't stop smiling?" "I think I'm in love" Sydney declared "what???". Elle was coughing vigorously because what Sydney said made her choke on her food.
Sydney rushed to Elle's side to pat her back "here drink water" offering her a glass "are you okay?" "yeah I'm fine, but what do you mean by "I think I'm in love?" she asked almost mimicking her "I meant what I said girl, let me rephrase that I am in love" Sydney giggled sheepishly. Elle's face was etched with worry "but Syd have you forgotten about what happened to you last time, you were madly in love with Zack?" Sydney rolled her eyes "Oh Elle don't kill my joy by bringing up that douche bag's name, just because he was the wrong one for me doesn't mean I'll quit finding love and besides I was young at that time I thought he was the one for me", Elle scoffed "mmm are you sure, I thought you still liked him" it was more of a statement than a question
Zack was Sydney's ex boyfriend whom she dated for two years,they were such a cute couple, the industry loved them, until he got married behind Sydney's back and she had to find out through the internet. She was so heartbroken when she found out, she didn't eat for days which led her to the hospital. Elle was sad that Sydney had to go through all those pain, Even their father was still deeply in love with their mom that he hadn't been in a relationship after their seperation. Sometimes she caught him staring at her photos. Making Elle to wonder if she ever wants to be in love.

"Well Elle I've moved on, it's unhealthy being stuck in the past" Sydney replied sipping her juice. "Mmm if you say so" Elle shrugged her shoulders. "Elle you should try to be more social and interact with people, who knows you might find someone you'll like" Sydney adviced placing her hand on on Elle's "I'm social with my colleagues, how much more should I be and thanks for your concern but I have low enthusiasm for love whatsoever" she smiled.
"Mm okay" Sydney said. Deep down she was worried about Elle, the girl has built some sort of invincible wall around her heart or was she just afraid. Only time will tell if she will still be able to keep those walls up when she sees a man that will sweep her off the ground.
Sydney payed for their meal after they were done, while driving, Elle asked her "so what makes you think new guy is different from Zack " " first of his name is Lee not new guy, secondly I know he's different I can feel it, the way he talks is so genuine, his smile everything about him feels magical ". Sydney had that dreamy look on her face again "okay okay I get it" Elle surrendered her hands in the air. Sydney burst out laughing "oh Elle you are so pained "
"God forbid I'm not, I'm just sad that you won't have my time any more like when you were with the douche bag" Elle was wiping invincible tears off her face "baby that's not gonna happen again, Lee understands family time so don't worry I'll be with you when you want me to. Sydney patted her head and they both laughed.
He must be a nice guy Elle thought to herself
The drive wasn't silence as they both jammed to the songs playing in the car.
This was what I really wanted to just spend some time with Sydney to free my mind of the performance. Elle smiled.
