Ghosty flew after them, examined them thoroughly, and then returned to Flain.
"Well, Itai is all wrapped up in bandages and can barely walk, and Zheren's armor is just a bit damaged," said Ghosty.
'Maybe they were attacked by some really strong monster in a dungeon, and some adventurers saved them. But then why does Zheren have only slightly damaged armor? If he had fought something stronger than himself, his armor would be way more destroyed,' Flain thought.
'Or maybe Itai was alone and some maniac attacked him, and Zheren managed to save him at the last second. Either way, I think a trap is the least likely scenario,' Flain concluded.
Itai, with Zheren at his side, came down to the basement where Flain was. Aran became alert, ready to strike for his king at a moment's notice.
"Where were you?" Flain asked.
Itai then explained in detail what had happened to him—about Flor, his family, and the things he had learned from him.
"Hmm, interesting," Flain murmured.
