"Hmm, how about that? I didn't expect anything to survive, but this could be fun."
"This could be some entertainment! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH, I guess I could do some things to spice this up!
"Now Vail Akron, GIVE ME A SHOW!"
***********
"AHHHHHHH! MOMMMM!"
Vail woke up sweating with fear, sadness, and confusion, invading his mind.
'What happened? Where's Mom?'
All of a sudden memories flooded Vails mind. Memories that weren't his. It was of a life he had never lived and he didn't know what to make of it. The sensation of receiving these memories was unlike anything he had ever felt, almost like the feeling of light pain, confusion, and extreme sleep deprivation.
"Vail, what's wrong are you okay?"
'This is the mother from those memories' The memories of this 16-year-long life distracted him. Like another being was in control of his actions he replied to her, unaware that he was even speaking.
"Yeah, I'm okay."
"Are you nervous about the new school tomorrow? It's going to be difficult, but I know you can get through it!"
"I'm not nervous about Nonala Prep, I just had a nightmare."
"Okay, well breakfast is ready, so come down whenever." The woman who was this body's mother said as she left the room.
'I need to sort out these memories.' Vail's mind was a mess, so getting a grasp on the situation at hand was a necessity
'For starters, that woman...' Her name was Aria, this Vail's mother. She was around 5'6 with purple eyes, dark hair, and white skin with a slight tan. This body's Dad was around 6'3, with blue eyes, a more muscular build, and hair even darker than Aria's, darker than the night. The man wasn't around much because of his work but it was clear he cared deeply about his family.
From what Vail could gather, he wasn't on Valis, but on a different planet called Palatia. Although it was similar to Valis in language, writing, and technology, it couldn't travel to other worlds, or even exit the atmosphere. Despite the numerous attempts, it was like there was a shield keeping everything inside the planet, and preventing anything from coming in. Nothing could bypass the barrier, and everything that reached the barrier was destroyed in a way that looked like pixelation. This information shocked Vail, but it was nothing compared to the shock that came from learning about Haven, the Realm of Beasts, and what it brought to humanity.
Haven was like a second world that the people of Palatia could access, and it brought with it abilities beyond anything Vail had ever seen. It was unfathomably large and it had multiple layers that could only be reached under certain conditions.
Nonala Prep, on the other hand, was a school that, as stated in the name, prepared students for Haven. It was a large academy that housed the greatest young talents in the world, and it had many powerhouses serving as the teachers in the institution. Only the most talented children in each year could become enrolled, whether through their brain, brawn, or other talents.
'How exactly did I get in then?'
In Palatia, the population could awaken abilities at the age of 13, however, they couldn't be utilized until 16 years old. These abilities were known as inner abilities. Although they were simple in nature they could grow exponentially strong. To see these abilities, all one had to do was think of the word 'Panel'. When this Vail turned 16 he discovered the the fact that the strings were not yarn, but an almost unseeable steel. Although, it wasn't the strongest power it was enough to just scratch by the entrance exam.
'Now, let's see what this panel actually looks like'
'Panel'

"What the hell does Traveler, Cosmic, and Beyonder mean? They weren't in the original panel, but I'm guessing Beyonder is referring to me being from another planet, or maybe even another universe, but that doesn't explain the other two."
Traveler: Gain access to fallen dimensions
Cosmic: The stars watch you, they empower you with their divine light, and they guide you through your journey against the Black Void.
"…the Black...Void..."
Almost like a seal breaking, the reality of the situation set in. His mom was gone, his home destroyed, and his planet erased. Tears formed at his eyelids, dampening the skin below. His emotions ran wild then,
Vail was absorbed by a portal resembling a black hole.
