Kael was ready, He jumped back and prepared for Jera's attack. Jera was feeling confident coming off a quick win against Draven, so she immediately stomped the ground sending a massive ice trail toward Kael but he was ready for it, he sidestepped and began to rush Jera as fast as he could. Kael started to conjure his magic in his hands while he was running toward Jera, she was startled by how fast Kael was and he was closing the distance fast. She used her ice skates to run while simultaneously sending small ice spikes toward Kael but he was ready for that, he put his hands together and pulled them apart stretching his magic into a shield of space magic that he held in one hand that nullified the small amounts of ice magic that hit them. Jera was in full panic as she didn't have many options left as the ice skate drained her magic every second she used it and she was running lower than normal on her magic because she had used a lot against Draven. She began to gather her magic into a much larger spike than the small ones before and sent it toward Kael. Kael was still chasing her down he felt like he would never be able to catch her so he stopped running when he saw the large spike coming, he stopped and released his makeshift shield and began to concentrate on his magic he sent a fast thin line of his mana straight to the large ice spike as it flew closer and closer trying to establish a link with it but just as he did it was coming to fast for him to make a decision so all he could do was dodge but after he dodged he still had the link established and displaced the spike right in front of Jera. She was shocked by its sudden appearance in front of her. It threw her off balance and made her tumble to the ground falling hard on the cold surface of the training room. She stood up only to notice Kael producing a new spell, she didn't know what was coming so she panicked and conjured a huge wall of ice in front of her as she began to catch her breath. Kael was working on a long-range attack because he couldn't get close, he knew she wouldn't use any more of those large spikes after the surprise attack before. He put his hands together pouring a large amount of magic into them he quickly compressed the magic and used the same technique he used to create the space shield but instead, he wanted a fast-moving slash through the field that cut through the ice wall and hit Jera. He then pulled his hands apart with the condensed magic in each one and made a vertical slash with each hand sending large crescent moon-shaped slashes across the field. Jera was clueless about what was happening on the other side of the wall as she was still catching her breath from all the running around. Draven from the sidelines was amazed by his brother's abilities, he couldn't help but be mesmerized by how beautiful the two slashes were. Ms. Nez on the other hand knew it was a problem and immediately hit the emergency button on the MBS dropping the protective shields, just as they fell the first slash slammed into the wall cutting straight through the ice wall, and the second strike was headed straight for the exhausted girl. The professor had to act fast she opened a portal underneath Jera, falling straight into the portal and landing right next to Draven. The second slash was still moving fast and slammed into the wall leaving a perfect crescent moon-shaped hole. Kael looked surprised as he wasn't expecting it to be that powerful. Kael imagined what would have happened if he hit Jera with that attack and just the thought of it hitting her gave him chills. he ran over apologizing rapidly before anyone said anything.
Professor Slims was shocked by the mastery of space Kael had and felt enraged by it. He began to yell at Nezafear, "What did you teach that boy in your secret training? How to kill one of his friends!" he screamed with so much anger the kids could feel the magical pressure he was exuding. Kael shuttered at the thought of killing someone, all he could do was stand there with his head down feeling horrible about what could have happened. Ms. Nez responded to the angry professor, "I didn't teach him any of that except for the displacement he pulled off." Professor Slims couldn't believe he learned all of that from one mock battle. The two professors both looked at Kael with worried looks and told the kids that was enough for today. Professor Nez told Kael, "I'll explain everything that happened tonight but give me some time to talk with Professor Slims." Kael hung his head in defeat and began to leave the training room. Draven looked at Jera on the floor and offered to help her up but she slapped his hand and got up on her own. She was still confused about everything that had happened but as she looked at the hole in the wall, she knew she almost lost her life. She turned to Draven with anger in her voice yelling, "What's wrong with that brother of yours? he almost killed me!" Draven didn't know what to say but "It was an accident!" Jera scoffed "Accident or not it happened! Now you have to treat me to dinner." finishing her little tantrum to Draven she began to walk out of the room. Draven just shook his head in confusion thinking to himself "Man girls are weird." but he was excited about another dinner with Jera, the two had been spending a lot of time together since Kael had been gone.
Draven tried to find his brother after what had happened, but he wasn't in their room or anywhere else he looked so he decided to just meet up with Jera for dinner. He wanted to eat with his brother too as he had not shared a meal with him in over a week. Kael was on the roof where Ms. Nez had taken him on the first day they were there, He had tears in his eyes as he felt the pressure of what could have happened. All he could think about was "What if? How would everyone look at me? How would I face Gideon again?" just as all the thoughts ran through his head, he felt a hand on his shoulder, it was Ms. Nez, she began to tell him everything was okay and nothing bad happened at the end of the day. she wanted to explain why that attack was dangerous to use, she said it as an advanced form of space compression on a large scale and it wasn't as simple as a sword slash where it cuts through the material but deletes the material entirely making healing take much longer and it made the attack extremely destructive but she whispered to Kael, "I'm very impressed by your talent. It was quite amazing seeing you adapt your magic on your own, especially after watching you fail over and over at a simple displacement spell." Kael felt a little better after Ms. Nez cheered him up and told her "Thank you, I'll keep working hard and get into Nexus!" he then ran off to find his brother and Jera to spend the rest of the night with them and make sure he fully apologized to Jera. The Professor stared at the boy running off and thought to herself, "That boy is going to turn Nexus upside down."
