"Finn, you don't seem to want me to go?"
Wanda's expression was complicated, her tone carrying a hint of resentment. She had invested too much effort to let it go to waste now.
If he wasn't by the other witch's side, the mysterious figure could easily kill him.
That couldn't be allowed to happen.
"But if you go, I'll be in even more trouble…"
Finn frowned tightly. Just thinking about two witches tearing into each other made his head spin.
Especially being caught between them—now that was worse than death.
These two witches were both unpredictable and dangerous in their own ways. Living under the same roof with them would be nothing short of a battlefield every day.
Hearing his hesitation, Wanda merely shrugged. "That's nothing. If I go, she won't be able to beat me."
Her tone was full of confidence as she lifted her chin slightly, her pale skin glowing under the dim light.
"Let me think about it."
Finn pondered, unwilling to give an immediate answer.
Judging from Dark Wanda's words, the mysterious figure was powerful beyond imagination.
Even with the combined strength of Kamar-Taj, they wouldn't stand a chance—not without the Time Stone, which had long been destroyed.
The only hope lay in his hidden reward. Until then, Dark Wanda was their best bet.
"Don't overthink it. I'll just stay in the room next to yours. That way, she won't get jealous."
Wanda's gaze softened slightly, flickering with a mix of emotions. She understood Finn's dilemma all too well. After all, she knew the other Wanda better than anyone.
"You really know how to make things difficult for me."
Finn exhaled and, after a moment, nodded. "Fine. Let's go back now."
He knew the other Wanda's temperament well. If they delayed any longer, she might act rashly.
Then, as if remembering something, he turned to the powerful witch before him. "Go to the guest bedroom and bring America with us."
After all, America was the key. Her abilities were their only way back.
"Got it."
The two of them left the dimly lit hallway.
Click.
The lights flickered on as the door creaked open, revealing America sprawled across the bed in deep sleep.
Finn tilted his head slightly, observing her closely.
She was still breathing steadily.
A wave of relief washed over him.
No injuries. No nightmares.
She was fine.
Now, all that was left was to take her away.
They needed her power to return.
"You don't trust me?"
Wanda's lips twitched, noticing Finn's cautious gaze. She rolled her eyes and let out an exasperated sigh.
"I've seen the absorption technique in the Darkhold," Finn said seriously. "The backlash from using it is brutal. If America absorbed too much, her body wouldn't be able to handle it."
His eyes drifted to America, who remained motionless on the bed.
Chaos magic was potent, but combined with the forbidden spells of the Darkhold…
It could easily destroy a person.
That's what worried him the most.
But so far, she seemed unaffected.
Wanda waved a hand dismissively.
The Darkhold materialized in the air, pulsating with an eerie black energy.
As soon as it appeared, the temperature in the room dropped.
The lights flickered, shadows creeping into the corners.
Finn's body tensed instinctively.
"You're worried over nothing," Wanda said coldly. "America can withstand my power. And if she can handle that, she can handle the backlash of the absorption spell."
Finn glanced at America, then back at the cursed tome hovering before him.
That thick, black aura...
It sent a chill down his spine.
"You mastered the complete Darkhold…"
Finn's eyes darkened as he observed it.
This universe's version of him clearly wasn't a time traveler. He hadn't known about the hidden functions of the book.
"You gave her the defective version, didn't you?"
Wanda's sharp gaze flickered toward him, catching the shift in his expression.
When Finn had cast the Darkhold's spells earlier, his techniques had been precise and flawless.
But the other Wanda's abilities were noticeably lacking. With her raw power and access to the book, she should have been far stronger.
Their previous battle had already confirmed her suspicions.
"I did it to protect her."
Finn's voice was calm, steady.
He knew exactly which Wanda she was talking about.
He had given her a defective version on purpose.
To keep her from falling into darkness.
To shield her from corruption.
"You really care about her."
Wanda's expression softened, a flicker of envy in her eyes. She stepped closer, voice low and teasing. "If it were me, would you have protected me like that too?"
Her breath was warm against his skin, her presence overwhelming.
"...You're not my girlfriend."
Finn averted his gaze, stepping back instinctively.
Wanda smirked. "That can change."
Her voice was smooth, almost hypnotic.
Finn coughed awkwardly and quickly changed the subject. "Wake America up. We're leaving."
"Fine."
Scarlet energy crackled around Wanda's hands as she reached for America.
A soft hum filled the air as she slowly lifted the spell keeping the girl unconscious.
"…Mm."
America stirred, her eyes fluttering open.
She blinked groggily, rubbing her temples.
Then her gaze landed on Wanda.
Her entire body froze.
Her eyes widened in pure terror.
"Stay away from me!!"
She scrambled back, heart pounding, sweat forming on her brow.
That face—that woman—
All she saw was the monster who had hunted her.
"America, calm down," Finn said quickly. His voice was firm yet reassuring. "She's not the one you remember."
America's chest heaved as she struggled to steady her breathing.
She glanced at Finn uncertainly.
He explained everything—how this Wanda was different, what had happened, and why they needed to leave.
Slowly, the panic in America's eyes faded.
"…Really?" she asked hesitantly.
"Yes," Finn said simply.
"Otherwise," Wanda interjected with a smirk, "you'd already be dead."
America flinched.
A dark, suffocating aura radiated from Wanda, filling the room with an oppressive force.
She was terrifying.
A predator, standing calmly before its prey.
"Wanda, stop scaring her."
Finn shot her a warning look.
He wasn't about to spend the next hour trying to calm America down again.
Wanda sighed and shrugged. "Fine."
"The faster we do this, the better."
Finn turned back to Wanda. "Draw a little energy from America—just enough for the portal. Then we go."
Wanda nodded and approached America, her hands glowing with Chaos energy.
She wasted no time, placing them against the girl's shoulders.
A soft, red light flickered as energy transferred between them.
America winced, but didn't resist.
She understood now.
This was the only way.
"…Your power is unstable," Wanda noted as she pulled back. "But you learn fast. If you trained in magic, you could control it much better."
America's eyes flickered with interest.
"…Magic?"
"Enough talking," Finn interrupted. "Portal's opening."
The air shimmered as a golden ring of light formed before them.
Their way home had arrived.
The golden radiance was unusually intense.
Soon, the three of them sank into the golden portal together.
Main Universe - Kamar-Taj
In the tea room, the rich aroma of strong tea lingered in the air.
Stephen Strange sat at the head of the table, calmly sipping from his cup. The two Peter Parkers—one from Tom Holland's universe and the other from Andrew Garfield's—sat across from each other, each holding a cup, savoring the warmth and depth of the drink.
The scent of tea curled into their nostrils, offering a fleeting comfort amidst the chaos of the multiverse.
But Wong was anything but calm.
Pacing restlessly with his hands clasped behind his back, his expression was one of deep concern. Wanda was missing.
And that terrified him.
"What now?" he muttered, his eyes flickering between Strange and the Spider-Men.
He glanced over at them, only to find them still drinking tea as if nothing had happened.
"Are you seriously still in the mood to drink tea?!" Wong snapped, his frustration boiling over.
They weren't panicking. How could they not be panicking?
Did they not understand the gravity of the situation?
Stephen, ever composed, took another slow sip before speaking. "It's not that we don't care, Wong. It's that panicking won't help us find her."
Finding Wanda was like looking for a single spark in a wildfire.
And letting her go might not have been entirely a bad thing.
"Hey, we've been sitting here for over an hour... anyone up for a burger?" Peter Parker—the younger one—piped up, attempting to lighten the mood.
Silence.
The others simply stared at him, unamused.
Realizing he wasn't going to get a response, Peter awkwardly sipped his tea.
Garfield's Spider-Man, leaning forward, suddenly spoke with a serious expression. "If we really want to fix this, we need to send the multiversal visitors back."
That statement hung heavy in the air.
It was the only real solution. As long as they remained in this universe, things would only spiral further out of control.
"The problem is," Strange sighed, setting his tea down, "we don't have a way to send them back."
That was the painful truth.
He wanted to fix this. But the solution wasn't so simple.
Before anyone could say another word, the compass sitting on the table trembled slightly.
Peter Parker's (Holland) eyes widened. "Something's happening!"
He snatched up the compass, examining the pointer. It was vibrating intensely, directing them toward the courtyard outside.
"Be careful," Strange warned, his expression hardening as he led them outside.
The pointer's erratic motion was a warning.
Something dangerous was coming.
As they reached the door and pushed it open, a golden vortex swirled before them.
A portal.
And then—a pulse of dark energy rippled through the air.
Wanda Maximoff stepped through.
But not just any Wanda.
The Scarlet Witch.
Strange's stomach tightened. Something's wrong.
The air was heavy with an eerie, cold oppression.
She was different.
Darker.
"What the hell..." Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man whispered.
Wanda's eyes flickered red as she stood there, expression unreadable.
Then—another figure emerged.
A familiar face.
"Finn?!"
Everyone tensed.
This was impossible.
They had seen him taken. By her.
"Finn! It's great to have you back!" Peter (Holland) exclaimed, taking a step forward.
But before he could move any further, Wong grabbed his arm. "Don't rush in. How do we know it's really him?"
Something about this felt off.
It didn't make sense.
If the Dark Witch had taken him, why would she return him?
"I know all of Kamar-Taj's spells," Finn said, lifting his hands.
Golden rings of energy swirled around his fingertips, forming intricate patterns of Kamar-Taj's magic.
Strange studied him carefully before nodding. "It's him."
The magic was genuine. This was the real Finn.
"Why did she bring you back?" Strange asked, still wary, glancing at Wanda.
Finn exhaled slowly. "Because there's something much worse happening. Someone is creating chaos across the multiverse—killing versions of me in every timeline."
Everyone went still.
"Wanda took me to keep me safe," Finn continued. "She sent me back because I wouldn't stop trying to convince her to come with me."
"Wait, where is she?" Finn suddenly asked, eyes scanning the group.
Something was wrong.
"Because of your disappearance, she wasn't in a good place. She left to clear her mind. We tried to stop her, but… we couldn't," Strange admitted.
That was the reality. Wanda was too powerful. Even together, they couldn't contain her.
Finn barely hesitated.
He stepped forward, grabbing Strange's Sling Ring straight from his hand.
Before anyone could react, he flicked his wrists, tracing golden arcs through the air.
A portal formed almost instantly.
Through the glowing doorway, Westview appeared—the small town Wanda had once reshaped with chaos magic.
Strange's eyes widened. How?
It had taken him an entire day to master this spell. Finn had done it in mere seconds.
But before he could say anything, Finn was already stepping through.
Westview - Community Apartments
The air was thick with a heavy silence.
The temperature had dropped, leaving a sharp chill in the room.
On the sofa, a crimson coat lay draped over the cushions—a sign that someone had been here recently.
The bedroom door creaked open.
And then—
Wanda emerged.
Her expression was vacant, her usually fiery eyes dulled with exhaustion.
The moment she saw Finn, she froze.
Her breath hitched. Her hands trembled.
"Finn...?"
Her voice cracked.
Her eyes turned red—not with power, but with raw, unrestrained emotion.
She had been waiting for this moment. Dreading that it would never come.
A small, broken laugh slipped from her lips before she rushed forward.
Finn opened his arms just in time to catch her.
"I'm back," he whispered, holding her tightly.
Wanda clung to him, her body shaking against his.
For once, she wasn't the terrifying Scarlet Witch.
She was just Wanda.
A woman who had lost too much.
Her hands cupped his face, as if she needed to feel he was real. As if she feared he would disappear again.
"Don't cry," Finn murmured, brushing away the tears slipping down her cheeks. "I'm here."
Her lips parted as if she wanted to argue.
But he silenced her with a firm whisper, "No words. Just rest."
Before she could protest, he lifted her into his arms with ease.
Wanda buried her face in his chest, her fingers gripping his shirt tightly.
A peaceful moment.
Until—
A pulse of dark magic rippled through the room.
The portal behind them shuddered.
A second figure emerged.
Draped in deep crimson, lips curled in an eerie smirk.
Dark Wanda.
The air turned frigid.
Wanda stiffened in Finn's arms, her red-rimmed eyes locking onto the intruder.
Two pairs of identical, piercing eyes met.
And the room fell into a deathly silence.
