AMAYA'S POV
I didn't want to go to the dinner meeting but after discussing with Stanley, there was no need to ignore him. So, I put aside the issue I had with him and took a hot shower, then wore one of the dresses he had bought then did a light makeup. By the time I was done, Ina picked me up.
My walk to the place was a peaceful one. I had expected her to make some snide remarks like the last one, but she stayed silent. It was a good thing as I didn't want anything to keep me provoked as I went to the dinner and I was glad she kept her mouth shut for once.
"We're here. Act smart," Ina said the moment we stopped in front of a huge, tall double door.
I was wrong. She was still the arrogant, nerve-wracking girl I knew. I rolled my eyes and then the doors opened. I took a deep breath and started my stroll into the place. In the middle of the large hall was a long, grand dining table and around the head of the table were Maxim, and two people I suspected were his parents.
