Elysia embraced Michael tightly as she cried her eyes out. She just couldn't believe how gentle of a man he was, not to mention now she could easily comprehend how he was the one to meet her debts, the very one from Robert.
"You-You are really a God to us… Son, please take care of her; David always gives subtle threats about how he would harm Layla." Elysia stated, her voice shaking as she held tightly to his arm.
"I-I don't know how you love her, but please, at the very least, save her from that monster." Elysia kept rambling while Layla felt distressed to see her mom's state.
"Listen to me. Look at me." Michael shook Elysia as he asserted. The poor woman seemed to be lost in a trance with the way she kept blabbering words. He doubted she must have gone through some trauma with the way she was afraid of David.
