Layla woke up feeling distressed about the discovery; she still couldn't believe it. She was reluctant to open her eyes and just wanted to spend her day under the sheets; stretching her hands, she tried to find Michael, but soon disappointment washed over her when she felt his absence.
'Why do you always leave me when I need you the most?' She wanted to scream. Having no other option, she turned her side hugged a pillow, and dived herself into another slumber.
Michael, beforehand, had instructed the guards and Nana not to disturb her. It was only to Nana that he shared her recent predicament.

"You don't need to, Mam," Michael exclaimed as he gently squeezed her hand. He had seen everything when he was about to accompany her out of the quarter. His men took care of David's guards while Michael, by himself, escorted her out of her room.
