I mentally scolded myself for hesitating before forcing a smile for the bodyguard. "Just passing by to admire the scenery. I wasn't planning on going in."
"The master is waiting for you, miss. You should enter. He also said he'd tell you about the Winged Creatures."
"Winged Creatures?"
"You mean those little monsters with wings and spiked tails?"
"Yes!"
Still, entering was out of the question—this was clearly a trap. "Tell him to visit 'First City' bar if he's free."
"He said if you refuse, you might miss the truth."
"The truth?" I smirked, eyeing his earpiece before crooking a finger. "Hand that over. I'd rather hear from him directly than through a messenger."
