The direction of the expeditions was passed to Mr. Windshire, who persuaded the others to accept the assistance of the cult. This was not easy of course, as the man did not like to change his mind, especially when the situation proved him wrong, but little by little, the explorers came to open up to cultists in general and their leader in particular. Mr. Windshire was the first to be insensible to his natural charm - he made himself his herald to his fellow-creatures with a speech worthy of the greatest negotiators. Soon, he became the bridge between the explorers and the cult and was often seen chatting with her in private.
