Jack gingerly opened one eye and saw himself lying on a field of green grass. He could hardly stand — his body a strange weakness, as if he had just emerged from centuries of slumber. As he surveyed the scene, there was a jolt — what was this place? How did he get here?
"Who am I?" Jack mumbled. His head was heavy, and memories were hazy. "Is this a dream or reality?"
The air was fresh yet there was an unnatural silence. The trees waved in the soft breeze, the birds chirped, but no sign of humans. As Jack pushed himself to get up, his weight rested on his palms, but he felt like the ground underneath him turned soft and strange, as if some invisible force was tripping him, pulling him down.
"This place … it feels like it's from a different era!" he said to himself.
And then came a blinding pain to his head. He couldn't help but scream at the top of his lungs.
"Aaaah! This is so painful! This is not what writers write about in novels!"
He lay on the ground in agony for a while. Then he took a deep breath and composed himself.
"Let it go, my name is Jack even in this life."
Slowly his memories started returning. He realized that the previous owner of this body was an orphan whose parents were killed during a mission. He had just completed his last mission yesterday, when Frieza called all the Saiyans back to Planet Vegeta.
Jack took a deep breath.
"I guess I don't have much time. There is only one day left before the destruction of Planet Vegeta."

Suddenly, a mechanical woman's voice was heard from somewhere. A transparent window appeared in front of Jack, and then the same mechanical voice echoed again—
