Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Path of Discipline

Lucian's Thoughts

Lucian sat by his window, staring out at the moonlit garden. His thoughts were on the newest member of the Solryn family—a sibling born just days ago. Though he hadn't held them yet, the thought of becoming an older brother made his heart race.

"I'm going to protect them no matter what," Lucian whispered to himself. "But first, I need to master the techniques I've created."

His eyes drifted to the secret training ground he had made behind the mansion. Despite his small size, his body was growing stronger, and he couldn't afford to waste time.

---

Training in Secrecy

The mansion grounds stretched for four kilometers, but Lucian's secret training area was hidden deep within the trees. It was here he practiced the martial arts and weapons techniques he'd created based on memories of his past life.

---

Refining the Techniques

Lucian picked up a wooden staff and took his first stance.

"I'll refine these techniques now, so I'll be ready for whatever comes."

---

Striking Arts

Boxing: Lucian practiced quick, efficient punches. "Precision over power."

Muay Thai: He focused on low kicks and knee strikes. "A good strike to the legs can bring anyone down."

---

Throws and Grappling

Aikido: He visualized an attacker and practiced redirection. "Use their strength against them."

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: He mimicked ground moves, focusing on sweeps and transitions.

---

Weapon Mastery

Lucian moved to his weapons, starting with his favorite: the Dual Crowbars.

"Unpredictable weapons are dangerous."

Longswords: Slow swings, focusing on control. "I need more precision."

Archery: Lucian nocked an arrow and shot it at a tree. "Precision comes with practice."

---

Combining Techniques

Lucian switched between unarmed and weapon attacks, experimenting with blending his skills.

"Adaptability will keep me alive."

---

A Moment of Reflection

After hours of practice, Lucian took a break, his body sore but his mind sharp. He thought about his sibling again, about their peaceful sleep and tiny hands.

"I may not know much about the world outside these walls, but I know I'll be ready for anything. When they look up to me one day, I'll make sure I'm worthy of it."

---

Return to the Mansion

Lucian returned to the mansion as the sun began to rise. He snuck back into his room, exhausted but determined. As he passed by the nursery, he saw his mother cradling the baby, humming softly. Lucian smiled before quietly retreating.

"One day, I'll protect them. But for now, I'll keep getting stronger."
