Chapter 194 - Chapter 193: The Master Weaver

At that moment, a swift figure darted out from the side.

He first landed a kick on Bora's shoulder, sending her flying, then shot out webbing to grab the severely wounded Undead Spider-Man from the ground.

The two of them crashed through the window of the Undead Avengers' castle-like base and landed on the rooftop of a nearby building.

"Who are you?" Undead Spider-Man examined the newcomer with one of his compound eyes.

Zhang Parker frowned and replied, "I didn't expect to see a spider creature that actually looks like this. Good thing the Parker from my world doesn't."

"Your world? Are you from another timeline too? Like Captain Britain?" Undead Spider-Man asked in confusion.

"Shut your mouth. What we need to do now is hide and make sure those two damn bastards don't find us!" Zhang Parker snapped in a low voice.

Although he had a high opinion of himself, his repeated encounters with the Inheritors had made him realize how powerful they truly were.

Moreover, Zhang Parker had always been someone afraid of dying. Everything he was doing now was, at its core, just to stay alive.

So, expecting him to fight the Inheritors head-on was impossible.

At least, not until he was absolutely certain he could win!

And that certainty—there was someone who could give it to him.

That was precisely why, after saving Undead Spider-Man, he hadn't immediately fled this world. Instead, he had taken the risk of staying behind to engage the two Inheritors.

"Damn it! Where did that damn bug come from?! How dare it steal Lady Bora's food?!" Bora furiously stood up, her eyes burning red with rage.

"Hahahaha! Bora, you're really losing your edge—letting your meal slip away like that!" Brax, however, had no intention of helping. Instead, he burst into laughter, openly mocking her.

Though they were twins and often acted together, they never got along, constantly bickering and competing with each other.

Seeing Bora suffer a setback was amusing to Brax.

"Damn you, Brax! Shut up!" Bora snarled as she flung two daggers at him.

Brax tilted his head slightly, dodging them effortlessly, then casually reminded her, "If you don't chase after them now, they'll really get away! That new bug doesn't seem to be from this world."

"Damn it! Just you wait, I'll deal with you later!" Bora shot him a vicious glare before turning and leaping out of the shattered window.

What followed was a high-speed chase, a game of cat and mouse that wreaked havoc across this world of the dead.

Their actions soon drew the attention of the other Undead Avengers.

At this point, Brax finally decided to make his move.

While Bora continued playing her game with Zhang Parker, Brax took on the task of holding back the other Undead Avengers.

If everything went according to plan, not only would the Undead Avengers of this universe be annihilated, but Zhang Parker would also meet his end.

At that moment, Zhang Parker was already considering retreating.

Fortunately, Peter arrived just in time.

He first descended quietly somewhere in this world. After a brief period of observation, he seized the perfect moment—when Bora and Zhang Parker were entangled in their chase—and struck with a fatal blow.

Just like before, he severed her arms and legs, then cast a sleeping curse.

Not a single wasted word.

Then, he swiftly moved on, targeting Brax, who was engaged in a fierce battle with the Mummy Thor.

Peter grabbed Brax and repeated the same process.

These twin siblings were likely the weakest among the Inheritors. Otherwise, they wouldn't always operate together.

Now that they were separated and had exhausted much of their strength in battle, Peter found the perfect opportunity to ambush and swiftly eliminate them.

But Zhang Parker and the Mummy Thor had no idea what had just happened!

They only knew that the seemingly invincible Inheritor, whom they had regarded as overwhelmingly powerful, had been instantly slain by Peter in a single move!

The undead world was, in fact, highly exclusive, but since Peter had saved their comrades, they did not treat him with hostility.

Afterward, Peter hid the two mutilated Inheritors in this universe as well and entrusted the Undead Avengers to keep watch over them.

Having witnessed the Inheritors' cruelty and heard about their deeds from Peter, the Undead Avengers took the matter seriously.

However, as beings of the dead, they had no way of entering the world of the living.

Thus, the only thing they could do was guard Bora and Brax.

When fully assembled, the Undead Avengers were a force to be reckoned with.

Moreover, the power of the Inheritor family had already been significantly weakened.

As their leader, Solus possessed multiversal-level strength, but he was often in a state of slumber.

In the past, Peter had no idea why that was.

But after learning more about Karn, he could roughly guess—it was likely because Solus had devoured too many Spider Totems and feared being assimilated by them. Therefore, he had to periodically enter a deep sleep to fully digest their influence.

Then, there were the remaining three.

Jennix mostly stayed in his cloning facility in the Earth-803 universe, rarely going out to hunt. Even when he did, he often sent his subordinates instead.

As for his underlings—the cloned soldiers, cyborgs, and hound legions—the Undead Avengers could generally handle them as long as their numbers weren't overwhelming.

Karn had always operated as a lone hunter.

To prove himself, he often sought out "noble prey" to hunt—such as the powerful Wolf-Spider or even a Spider-God from another universe.

He also had the strength to wipe out the Undead Avengers entirely.

However, Peter had been keeping a close watch on him and knew that he was currently locked in battle with the Wolf-Spider. So, for the time being, he wouldn't be coming here.

That left one more—Verna.

Verna was the fourth-ranked member of the Inheritor family, a woman who liked to wear deep-V evening gowns yet dressed like a witch.

Her own strength was decent, and she enjoyed leading the hound legions on hunts.

However, as the only active Inheritor, the chances of her finding this world were extremely low.

Peter was even hoping that she would hurry up and make her move, come to this universe—

That way, he could capture Verna as well!

—Meanwhile—

Earth-001.

Inside a colossal temple, countless strands of spider silk wove together into an enormous web, enshrouding the entire structure.

If one stood within the temple and looked around, they would notice that the walls did not actually exist—they had transformed into an endless void, with the web stretching deep into its abyss.

No one knew just how vast it truly was.

This was the Great Web of Life and Destiny, manifesting in tangible form!

At the very center of the temple's web lay a massive figure.

Its lower half resembled a highly intricate and complex machine, while its upper half was humanoid, with a round, helmet-like casing covering its head, obscuring its face.

This was the God of the Spider Totems, the Guardian of the Great Web—The Master Weaver!

He had been in a good mood, for he had glimpsed a bright future and saw his plans progressing smoothly.

However, in the next moment, when he witnessed a particular scene, his hands suddenly froze.

"This… seems to have deviated from the original expectation. You've gone too far, Peter."
