Chapter 465 - Jade in Place

"Hi, Boss Jiang, over here!" Outside the airport in Boston, Jiang Hai and his friends had just parked their car when they heard the voices of Wang Yang and Fatty Wang. Following the sound, they saw Fatty Wang standing in front of a pile of square materials wrapped in black cloth, waving his hands vigorously at Jiang Hai. Upon spotting him, Jiang Hai and his friends drove over.

"Hi, you must have been waiting for a long time," Jiang Hai said to Wang Yang with a smile as he got out of his Rolls-Royce.

"No, these materials have just been finished. Wow, a Rolls-Royce—this car is no small thing." Wang Yang laughed as he looked at Jiang Hai's parked car. Men love cars; that's just the way it is.

To be honest, Wang Yang had never seen anyone like Jiang Hai who would buy a Rolls-Royce and drive it himself.

"Are all the materials here?" After exchanging a few polite greetings with Wang Yang, Jiang Hai glanced at the stones behind him.

"Of course! These materials weigh a total of 267 kilograms, worth 400 million RMB. I'll bring them all here first. You can give me as much money as you want. The rest, I'll sell back in China." Fatty Wang chuckled after hearing Jiang Hai's question.

"No need to bring them back. I want all of them." Jiang Hai wasn't short on money, especially not 400 million RMB. Besides, if the quality of these jade materials was as good as promised, he could use them to craft things in the future—whether to carry with him or as gifts.

"You really are rich!" Wang Yang couldn't help but exclaim after hearing Jiang Hai's words. Jiang Hai wasn't an ordinary person. If he could sell the materials here, it would be a good deal for Wang Yang, too.

This month, Wang Yang had traveled to Xin Province, Qing Province, Soviet Russia, and Goryeo, using both his unashamed spirit and some of his previous connections to collect these 267 kilograms of jade materials. If Jiang Hai bought all of them, Wang Yang could make nearly 100 million RMB. For him, it was indeed a profitable venture.

"Let's go." Seeing Wang Yang's expression, Jiang Hai waved his hand and signaled Robbins and the others to start loading.

Although these jade materials were valuable, they weren't too many—267 kilograms, or about 500 pounds.

Wang Yang had neatly divided the jade into five pieces, each weighing 50 kilograms. Before Robbins and the others arrived, it wasn't a big deal for one person to carry 50 kilograms. Now, after consuming spiritual beef and fish for so long, 50 kilograms was nothing. However, they were careful with handling the valuable jade. They placed the pieces on a specially driven F75O truck, wrapping them with several layers of plastic wrap, foam board, and a cardboard box for protection.

Jiang Hai was particularly concerned about the jade's safety. Once all six pieces were loaded, he invited Wang Yang to join him in his car. Robbins and the others followed in the F75O, and Andrew Christian sat in the other vehicle. Together, they all returned to Jiang Hai's manor.

This wasn't Wang Yang's first visit to the United States—he had bought many tourmalines here before, so he was quite familiar with the American countryside. However, when he arrived at Jiang Hai's manor, he was still a little surprised by how beautiful and impressive it was.

"Wow, I didn't expect Boss Jiang's manor to be this big. It's much larger than I imagined." Anyone who could easily spend 400 million RMB on jade was obviously not an ordinary person. Even if Jiang Hai was a cattle breeder, it was understandable that he could afford such a large-scale estate. As Wang Yang walked in, he couldn't help but feel amazed.

"It's nothing. Let's go inside." Hearing Wang Yang's comment, Jiang Hai chuckled. He didn't care much about the compliment because he knew his manor was about more than just appearances. The cattle and fish on his estate were the best, and one could only truly appreciate it after experiencing them.

Fatty Wang was a businessman, so he would only stay for a day to make sure Jiang Hai had enough jade materials. After receiving the final payment, he would leave. Jiang Hai didn't mind whether Wang Yang tasted the food on his estate—after all, he was just a business partner, not a close friend.

As the car arrived, the girls at Jiang Hai's villa noticed them.

When Jiang Hai and his group got out of the car, Wang Yang couldn't help but be more impressed.

The sight before him was breathtaking: a huge main villa, a row of smaller villas behind it, an artificial river flowing in front, a large grassland in the distance, and the ocean in the background. Everything was pristine, and the sweet air added to the charm. A beautiful girl walked out to greet them, further enhancing the serene atmosphere. Wang Yang thought to himself, if his family offered him money right now, he wouldn't hesitate to move here. And that was before even tasting the food.

"Hello." As Fatty Wang got out of the car, Darlene and the others took the initiative to greet him.

"Hello!" Wang Yang was familiar with Darlene, Marian, and Azarina, having met them twice before. However, it was his first time seeing Bernice. She seemed familiar, but he didn't know her. He simply smiled and was led into the villa by Jiang Hai.

Inside, the most famous carpenter in Winthrop had been waiting for some time. Seeing that Jiang Hai and his team had finally returned with the materials, the carpenter, who was already in his fifties, smiled and made his way upstairs into Jiang Hai's room.

After inspecting the jade materials, the old carpenter shared his thoughts on how to proceed.

It wouldn't be enough to make a bed and floor directly from the jade. The floor couldn't be too thin, and the jade wasn't hard enough to withstand the wear and tear of being used for a floor. If it were used as the floor, it could break easily.

Instead, the carpenter recommended making the surface of the floor from jade, with cork red on the bottom to prevent breakage and save material. As for the bed, Jiang Hai wanted a large one—four meters by two meters. He preferred big beds.

For such a large bed, the four sides and bottom would naturally be made of wood, with jade used for the bed surface, bedside tables, and outer bonding layers. Given the bed's weight, the jade could break easily if placed under too much pressure, so the space beneath the bed would still need to be made from wood. Jiang Hai hadn't considered these details when buying the jade, but now that the old carpenter had explained it, Jiang Hai saw no need to argue. After all, the carpenter had years of expertise.

Everything was settled, and the carpenter estimated it would take about a month to finish. Jiang Hai wasn't in a rush and could take as long as needed. After signing the contract, Jiang Hai invited Wang Yang to stay at his house for one night.

At dinner that evening, Wang Yang almost swallowed his tongue in amazement. The meal had been prepared by Xiaoya, a tacit agreement between her and Jiang Hai.

Unlike Bernice, who refused to do any housework, Xiaoya was happy to help. Cooking made her feel useful. The food was extraordinary, thanks to both Xiaoya's skills and Jiang Hai's top-notch ingredients.

"Oh my god, Jiang Hai, I have to admit—this place is heaven. The environment is beautiful, and the food is incredible. To be honest, I'm tempted to go back home and move my family here." Wang Yang had eaten so much that he could barely fit in another bite. He rubbed his stomach and exclaimed. Jiang Hai chuckled; his life truly couldn't be copied.

After all, Wang Yang had helped him with so many things, so Jiang Hai wanted to make sure dinner was special.

In addition to the finest beef, Jiang Hai had ordered a large lobster, abalone, and sea cucumber. Xiaoya's cooking was as good as any five-star hotel chef's. With such amazing ingredients, Wang Yang couldn't stop eating. Judging by his figure, it was clear that he was a food lover—it would have been strange if he hadn't indulged.

"Hey, delicious food, beautiful scenery, beautiful women... I really envy you." Looking at Jiang Hai's contented smile, Fatty Wang sighed. It can only be said that people with the same fate often end up with very different lives. Hearing this, Jiang Hai smiled back. His life was something no one else could replicate.

That evening, Jiang Hai and Fatty Wang enjoyed a great meal and drank plenty of beer before returning to their rooms to rest. The next morning, Fatty Wang left. He had to head back to China to finalize the payment for the jade. Jiang Hai had already paid him the balance the previous day, after inspecting the materials and confirming everything was in order. Jiang Hai wasn't the type to delay payments.

Although Wang Yang reluctantly left Jiang Hai's manor, the beautiful surroundings had planted a seed in his heart. He couldn't stop thinking about Jiang Hai's estate. After Winthrop opened to tourism, he was the first to sign up for a visit with his family. Wang Yang had visited many villages in the United States, but none of them could compare to Jiang Hai's manor.

After Fatty Wang left, Jiang Hai wasn't as sad as he had been when his other friends left. After all, Fatty Wang wasn't really a friend—just a business partner. Plus, Jiang Hai had more pressing matters to attend to.

The domestic ship carrying his next shipment had arrived in New York and was heading to Winthrop.

This time, there were many items on the ship. In addition to the food he had been craving, there were valuable items like Yangtze River knife fish, yellow croaker, and even more treasures. (To be continued.)
