"What a miraculous jutsu! This is completely different from the medical ninjutsu we've seen before!"
Uchiha Meishin was amazed as she processed the effects of the Group Recovery Technique.
"Especially the group healing technique—it takes effect instantly! This is too powerful."
She then glanced at Uchiha Nanaya and asked curiously:
"Nanaya, these techniques… why do I feel like they resemble some of Kiruria and Xiaolan's abilities?"
Mikoto also nodded in agreement.
"Hehe!"
Uchiha Nanaya grinned.
"Good observation, Mother!"
"These secret techniques were, in fact, inspired by Kiruria and Xiaolan's abilities. I combined their skills with my own knowledge and theories to create them."
"Pretty impressive, right?"
Uchiha Meishin nodded proudly.
"As expected of my son~!"
Only her son could accomplish such a thing.
Spreading the Knowledge
Next, Uchiha Nanaya traveled to the frontlines to teach these secret techniques to his father, older brother, and Tsunade.
Uchiha Sen'ichi and Uchiha Hiroshi were surprised but did not react too strongly.
Tsunade, however, was completely shocked.
As a top-tier medical ninja, she fully understood the terrifying potential of these healing techniques.
She stared at Uchiha Nanaya with a complicated expression.
"You've really created something groundbreaking."
Tsunade's tone was serious.
"Do NOT hand over these techniques to the village. If they try to pressure you for them, just tell them I was involved in the research."
"Let them deal with me instead."
Her reasoning was simple—these techniques had too much strategic value.
If they fell into the wrong hands, they could be stolen, misused, or even exploited by Konoha's leadership for political gains.
She did not trust Hiruzen, Danzo, or the elders.
"Understood, Sensei!"
Uchiha Nanaya nodded sincerely.
Then, he suddenly asked:
"Sensei… have you ever considered becoming Hokage?"
"Huh?"
Tsunade blinked in surprise before frowning.
"Where did that come from?"
"Do you have something in mind?"
She crossed her arms and gave him a sharp look.
"If you do, just say it. I'm your teacher—I'll support you unconditionally."
Uchiha Nanaya had done so much for her.
He was more than just a student—he was family.
Her loyalty to him was absolute.
Of course, she doubted that Nanaya could become Hokage anytime soon.
Not only because of his age, but because Hiruzen was still at his peak.
"Hehe, thanks, Sensei!"
Uchiha Nanaya smiled before organizing his thoughts.
"Well… you already know how the Third Hokage and the Konoha elders treat the Uchiha clan, right?"
Tsunade nodded.
"Before Konoha was founded, the Uchiha and Senju were sworn enemies for generations."
"It was thanks to the combined efforts of the First Hokage and Uchiha Madara that Konoha was created."
"But the Second Hokage—your grandfather, Tobirama-sensei—never fully trusted the Uchiha."
"He saw our Sharingan as an inherently twisted power."
"So, to keep the Uchiha under control, he assigned them to the Konoha Military Police Force—effectively isolating them from the rest of the village."
"Tsk!"
Tsunade clicked her tongue and pinched his cheek in annoyance.
"Nanaya, quit the history lesson and get to the point."
"I already know all this. If I didn't care about the past, I wouldn't have taken you as my apprentice."
She knew better than anyone how the Second Hokage truly felt about the Uchiha.
The reasons were complicated, and she understood them.
But times had changed.
The current Uchiha clan was not the same as before.
The same went for Konoha.
And to be honest, Tsunade only cared about Nanaya's well-being.
"Heh, alright!"
Uchiha Nanaya chuckled before continuing:
"After the Second Hokage's death, the Third Hokage and his inner circle—Danzo, Utatane Koharu, and Mitokado Homura—took control of Konoha."
"They inherited many of the Second Hokage's policies."
"But instead of working toward unity, they actively oppressed the Uchiha."
"They isolated us even further, fueling our resentment against Konoha's leadership."
"And if things continue like this, a civil war will break out—it's inevitable."
Nanaya's expression darkened.
"I don't want that."
Tsunade's Expression Turned Serious.
She knew he wasn't exaggerating.
If Konoha continued suppressing the Uchiha, there would come a day when the Uchiha had enough.
And if that happened, Konoha would be thrown into chaos.
Right now, the village was already at war with the other four Great Shinobi Villages.
If an internal war broke out right after, Konoha would be doomed.
Even if Nanaya was strong enough to crush Hiruzen and the elders, Konoha would never recover from such instability.
"So… you want me to be Hokage?"
Tsunade asked cautiously.
"Yes."
Uchiha Nanaya nodded firmly.
"Hiruzen is too set in his ways."
"His prejudice against Uchiha is too deeply ingrained—he will NEVER change."
"And I refuse to let my clan suffer any longer."
"Once I take control of the Uchiha, I will NOT tolerate Konoha's oppression."
"If Hiruzen and the elders try to suppress us again, I will retaliate."
Tsunade's fists clenched.
"And I'm sure you know what that would mean."
A full-blown civil war.
A bloodbath that would leave Konoha crippled.
Tsunade Took a Deep Breath.
She sighed.
"Is there no room for negotiation?"
"No."
Nanaya shook his head.
"The problem isn't Uchiha."
"The problem is Konoha's leadership."
"Hiruzen and his council will NEVER accept Uchiha."
"We have two options: live as second-class citizens forever, or fight for our place."
"I choose to fight."
His gaze hardened.
"Which is why I need you to be Hokage."
Tsunade Was Silent for a Long Time.
Then, finally, she said:
"Fine."
"I'll do it."
