As soon as they reached an isolated corner of the school, Tabitha crossed her arms and leaned against the wall like she had better things to do. She eyed Roman lazily, as if he was nothing more than an annoying pop-up ad model she was about to crumple.
"What do you want, Roman? Make it quick—I don't have time to waste on whatever ego trip you're on," she said, tilting her head with an unimpressed look.
Roman's jaw tightened. He wasn't used to people—especially someone like her—talking to him like that.
Normally, people stammered, groveled, or at least pretended to respect him. But Tabitha? She looked like she was about to check her nails while he talked.
"You think you're cool shit just because you pushed Stacey?" he sneered, stepping closer. "You think you can get away with that?"
